A Fond Farewell (for now!)

It’s with a full heart (and slightly teary eyes!) that I share some big news...

After many wonderful years, my beloved Pilates studio will be closing its doors on Thursday, 22nd May. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but due to increasing family commitments, now feels like the right time to step back and take a well-earned pause.

I want to say the biggest thank you to every single client who has stepped into the studio over the years. Many of you have become friends — and all of you have brought your energy, warmth, and humour into every class. Teaching you has been one of the joys of my life.

We’ve moved, laughed, stretched, and sometimes even cried together. You've trusted me through life’s ups and downs, and I’ve been so lucky to witness your strength, progress and resilience.

What a privilege it’s been.

This isn’t goodbye forever — there’s something new and exciting on the horizon! I’ll still be supporting women’s health and weight management, but after one final class on the 22nd, I’ll be pressing pause for the summer to rest and recharge (and maybe spend a little more time walking, travelling, and breathing deeply under big skies).

✨ Save the Date: We’ll be organising a proper send-off (with a few tears and a lot of laughs), as well as some relaxed summer events — think gentle walks, socials, and reconnecting with each other away from the mat.

More on that very soon!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the support, the laughter, and for being part of such a special community. I will miss you all more than you know.

March is Prostate Cancer Awareness month.

Pelvic floor exercises are traditionally thought of as being very helpful to women, but they are as vital to men as well.

As we all age, the pelvic floor can become less effective and like lots of body parts, it can cause problems.

Why are we moving from our well-established home studio of 8-years?

The main reason is to get more people using the reformer and tower - large pieces of Pilates equipment.

We have been teaching 1-2-1 Pilates at our Goosnargh studio for over 8 years, and with the introduction of the reformer and tower in early 2017, we knew that there was much more that we could do to help more people use it.

I was baffled that there weren’t others who were forward thinking; group Pilates has been popular, as are group reformer sessions, but why couldn’t well-trained students have access to the large equipment when they wanted it?

No class schedules, no 1-2-1s.
