Haviland House Dementia Care Home

Haviland House Dementia Care Home Haviland House is a purpose-built dementia care home based in Goring.
(1)

Our key focus is providing a truly person-centred approach, developed specifically to meet the needs of our residents living with dementia. It is important that Haviland House feels like a real home, so we have created an environment in which our residents are happy, independent and confident. There are five unique, separate households across three stories which are designed to care for particular stages of dementia, allowing specific needs to be catered for. Each household has its own dedicated dementia support carers, who can build rapport, friendship and stability with the residents that they care for. In 2019 Haviland House was a ‘Best Dementia Care Home’ finalist in the National Dementia Care Awards and the home’s Health & Wellbeing Coordinator won the National Activity Providers Association’s ‘Best Activity Coordinator’ award.

🚴‍♂️ Ed’s Epic Adventure – There’s Still Time to Donate!

If you haven’t heard, Ed Clark has just completed an extraordinary journey: cycling all the way from Istanbul to Brighton in under two months, raising vital funds for Guild Care. Along the way he pushed through knee injuries, slept on park benches and in woodlands, and lived on just £5 a day. His determination and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.

We were thrilled to welcome Ed to Holland House this week, where he met our Creating Connections members. The heart, kindness, and positivity he’s brought to Guild Care have not gone unnoticed, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

Ed has already raised over £3,000, and there’s still time to donate!

It meant so much to Ed to see first-hand where the money he has raised will be making a difference. We cannot thank him enough for his dedication and generosity.

If anyone else has some epic fundraising ideas or journeys they want to take on, please do get in touch with our fundraising team at

fundraising@guildcare.org.
We’ll be happy to support you all the way! 💙

🎃👻Guild Care's first Ghost Walk was a huge success! A BIG thanks to Worthing’s amazing zombie Town Crier and history buff, Worthing & Adur Town Crier - Bob Smytherman! 👻🎃

You truly brought the stories to life on our Guild Care Ghost Walk - everyone loved every spooky step (and the delicious buffet afterwards too!). It was brilliant fun - we loved meeting some new faces and can’t wait for next year! 🕯️🧟‍♂️

All money raised will help support older people, people living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities through our vital Guild Care services. 💜

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night such a success!

He’s already raised an incredible £2,900 of his £3,000 target, and we couldn’t be prouder. 🙌

Ed joined BBC Sussex Radio to share his amazing journey, the challenges he’s faced, and why this cause means so much to him. 🎙️
