At 35? No! This is one of the biggest misperceptions in women’s health which leads to unnecessary suffering.
The brain is the master regulator of our s*x hormones
Ovulation in controlled in the brain
The first signs that we see often isn’t a change in periods but its symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, sleep disruption and just not feeling yourself because the brain is sensing the dysregulation as we run low on eggs and doesn’t like it

Perimenopause is not an afterthought to menopause

Perimenopause affects women for YEARS before the actual menopause when the egg supply runs out

So no- 35 is not too young to be noticing symptoms

The vast majority of my hormone clinic patients are those who
Have had HRT and it’s not worked out
Are on HRT and they don’t feel great
Are being told they can’t have HRT
Being told they are too young to be peri menopausal
So… it’s impossible to unpick this without working out the impact of hormone imbalance on the patient, her job, her family and there is always a plan that can be made to optimise this one piece of that patient, also optimising future health.

I’ve had Skinvive done recently and honestly, it’s the best my skin has ever looked. My skin feels super hydrated, smooth, and just really healthy overall. The glow is so natural, and one of the biggest things I noticed is how much it calmed down my redness — my skin tone looks way more even and calm now.

It’s one of those treatments where people keep saying you look really good, but can’t quite put their finger on why. My skin just looks fresher and more radiant, and I’m definitely wearing less makeup because I don’t feel like I need it as much.

I also have to say Trish is amazing. She’s such an expert at what she does and really understands how to give results that look natural, not overdone. I felt completely confident in her hands, and the whole experience was quick and easy with minimal downtime.

If you’re thinking about Skinvive and want better skin without looking like you’ve “had work done,” I couldn’t recommend it (or Trish!) more.

Endometriosis is one of those conditions that are unfortunately commonly missed as a diagnosis.

The recommendation regarding endometriosis and HRT, is to use a continuous regimen for women who still have their uterus.

I see a lot of patients with endometriosis who have had a hysterectomy and we need to think carefully when prescribing because the oestrogen only type of HRT used in these women could trigger the endometriosis ( and then a theoretical cancer).
There isn’t much evidence to determine whether HRT reactivates endometriosis after menopause and if so do we definitely need to use a progestogen for these women???

The decision to use HRT with or without a progestogen here needs a full assessment and discussion of the general risks and benefits of HRT.

Pick up the diagnosis in the first place (see above…) and then we can deal with all of this when the time comes!
