The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage The Old Vicarage is a family run residential care home situated in the village of Allithwaite. We produce a quarterly newsletter detailing all our activities.

We specialise in care for the elderly and physically frail, including those with dementia. The Old Vicarage is a vibrant, friendly place with lots going on and
strong links with the local community. The wellbeing and dignity of our residents is hugely important to us and therefore our staff are recruited for their values of kindness, compassion and patience. Whilst most of our residents are with us full time, when we have vacancies we are able to provide a respite service. We can also offer day care to local people.

Freda, who is 103 years old, still enjoys a sing-along to the classic Christmas tune, Jingle Bells. With lots of good company and giggles from Anne and Alice.

Yesterday, we had a visit from Owl Adventures.https://www.owl-adventures.co.uk/ This included a 2-year-old Barn Owl named Teddy, an Eagle Owl called Henrietta, and a tiny Indian Scops Owl called Chip. Not forgetting Roland, an 8-year-old Harris Hawk. Apparently, there are 254 varieties of owls throughout the world! As you can see they were great company!
