"In the market's vast ocean, the angler who casts a line with integrity will always outfish the one who steals bait from another's hook."

Today's quote was inspired by witnessing a recurring pattern both in presiding over many client consultations and through personal experiences in the business arena.

Over time, I've observed several instances where individuals attempt to fish for clients in others' networks rather than cultivating their own genuine connections. This approach not only undermines professional etiquette but also the integrity of their business practices.

More intriguingly, when such actions are challenged or exposed, many justify their behaviour instead of taking a moment to reflect and possibly recalibrate their strategies, clinging to short-term gains over long-term respect and success.

This observation compelled me to emphasize the enduring value of integrity in business. The reminder is clear: true success and sustainable growth in any market are achieved through honest, respectful, and heartfelt engagement with one’s network, encouraging a culture of trust and mutual benefit.

In a world where connections are essential, the value lies not in how many waters you can cast your net into but in the depth of the relationships you nurture within your own. Fishing into other people's networks for clients without focusing on genuinely building connections misses the essence of faithful service and integrity.

Today, with a heart full of gratitude, humility, and overwhelming joy, I am beyond honoured to share an incredible milestone in my journey—being selected as a finalist in the prestigious SME National Business Awards 2024 for the 'Business Person of the Year' category. The winners in each category will be announced on December 6th at Wembley Stadium, and I am so much looking forward to it.

This moment isn't just a testament to my achievements but a beacon of hope and resilience, a narrative woven with the threads of overcoming insurmountable challenges.

My story begins in the former Yugoslavia, where the shadow of civil war, persecution under the oppressive and genocidal regime, and near-death experiences marked my early years. The atrocities I survived and the heart-wrenching losses I endured were my reality. Yet, amidst despair, a sliver of hope emerged—a journey to a new beginning.

🇬🇧 Arriving in London with nothing but the clothes on my back, homeless, and without clear direction, those initial days were a testament to human resilience. Working three jobs to fund my education, I faced every fear, overcame doubt, and pushed against the relentless waves of anti-migrant sentiment and abuse.

The journey was not without moments of an identity crisis. However, driven by an unwavering spirit and a clear vision, I graduated from one of the top five engineering universities in the UK. My path then led me from scaling the heights of the tech industry to finding my true calling as a critically acclaimed author, coach, speaker, and trainer specializing in human behaviour and maximizing human potential.
