Sometimes we face enormous challenges in our lives, that seem completely overwhelming.

We may find ourselves thinking "How can I get through this? I cannot possibly find the strength. It's too much."

I found these beautiful words by the poet Donna Ashworth & so sharing for your Wednesday inspiration.

"Oh but you must look behind you sometimes, or you may not recall the mountains.
The ones you thought you’d die on. The ones you scaled and survived with such bravery and passion.
And then you’ll look at the mountain ahead of you and realise you’ve done it before.
You’ve done much harder before, in fact. And you’ll do it again.
Oh but you must look behind you sometimes my friend, even if just to see how far you’ve come."

I will have some availability coming up for equine assisted sessions, on Mondays, from 19th January onwards

Equine therapy sessions last 90 minutes & always take place outside. It involves connecting & engaging with my little herd from the ground in a safe, but natural environment.

No riding involved & no experience of horses necessary.

A word on crisis support:

As a registered therapist supporting clients (UK only), I do occasionally get messages and calls regarding immediate or put of hours crisis support either for individuals or their loved ones.

I wanted to clarify again, that unfortunately I am not able to support people in crisis or in an emergency.

There are however some incredible places for immediate support of this kind, available 24/7.

Nobody should feel alone or unable to access support when they need it most.

MIND, the mental health charity lists all these on their website and so I'm posting this link below.

Please do share this January in case seeing these links gives people a lifeline they otherwise might not have known about

My final post of this year is a thank you to all my amazing clients, both equine & non equine, who have taken the brave step into therapy this year, to open themselves up to the possibility of growth and healing and who have all made such incredible progress in their own journeys in their own way.

Talking therapy is not like waving a magic wand and making all our problems go away. It's not a quick fix and it can be hard work.

I never take for granted the privilege I have, to walk alongside my clients as they take their first wobbly steps to self care, growth and healing. Steps which often become strides, as they blossom and grow in confidence.

So as we prepare to say goodbye to 2025 , a huge thank you to all my clients who have trusted themselves and put their trust in me, to help them with their healing journeys this year.

Happy New Year !

See you all in 2026 ❤️

With Christmas just around the corner, when everything can feel overwhelming, try to take a moment each day to pause, stop, breathe, do something for yourself.

Perhaps that might be a time to reach out for support, starting in the New Year.
2026 could be the year that you discover your true strength, heal from your pain or move into your new future free of worry and anxiety.

I will have some space to take on new clients from January 2026.

Do drop me a message via my website (link in bio) if 2026 is the year you are ready to do something truly transformational, for you.

This beautiful sunrise this morning, bathed the trees in a golden light.

I just had to stop and capture the moment. So fleeting, yet in those few minutes, perfection....

Made me wonder , what fleeting moments of beauty do we miss when we hurry from one place to another?

How often do we stop, pause, drink in the beauty of nature around us, however small.

A golden sunrise is magnificent, but so is a tiny ladybird on a leaf, a spider's web decorated with tiny droplets of morning dew, a rainbow after a downpour, the smell of fresh cut grass....

What moments of nature do you find yourself enjoying? Drop your favourites in the comments below

Equine assisted therapy is a completely different way of accessing therapy and involves placing the horse at the centre of the therapeutic relationship.

An experiential therapy, speech is often not needed and is instead replaced by communication between horse and human, which no longer needs words.

These beautiful, intuitive creatures can show us how to create the mental space we need, to move "out of head" and into our bodies, creating opportunities to reconnect with ourselves in ways that no longer require overthinking or busy thoughts.

When a photographer can't change the scene, to capture the perfect image they imagined, they don’t give up.

They move their position, change their angle, adjust the lens and find new beauty by reframing how they see it.

And life works the same way.

There will be moments when we simply can't control what's happening: plans fall apart, people disappoint us or the path ahead feels nothing like what we imagined.

But we always have control over the frame we view it through.

And when we change how we look at something, the thing itself begins to change.

What once felt like failure can reveal itself as redirection and become our greatest teacher.

So even when we can't change the situation, we can always adjust our lens.

Because sometimes, what we need isn't a completely different life, but a different way of seeing the one we already have.

This kind, gentle, inquisitive & highly intuitive pony, has proved to be the most incredible "therapy" pony, since we started working together with clients in March this year.

It's not something you can easily measure or articulate in words, but spending time supporting clients, who may be experiencing turmoil, distress or grief in their lives; he has a real gift for healing & I'm so fortunate to be able to work alongside this beautiful soul, helping to make even the smallest positive difference in people's lives.

As we head into September, it's that time of year where the nights start drawing in and the weather starts to get colder.

Seasons change , it's part of the cycle of life. But change is hard too.

If you are struggling right now, with something you want to change or perhaps you've experienced some stressful change, which you felt you had no control over & you are now looking for some support, I have some availability coming up towards the end of September.

See link to my website in my bio for more info and how to get in touch
