📚✨ World Book Day at Red Court ✨📚

Today we celebrated World Book Day at Red Court and what a fabulous day we had! Our amazing team went above and beyond, dressing up as their favourite book characters.

We had Cruella De Vil, Mary Poppins', an Oompa Loompa, Paddington Bear, Where’s Wally's, a Ladybird, a Pirate, Elsa, Harry Potter and many more wonderful costumes.

Both staff and residents had great fun spotting all the different characters, and it certainly brightened everyone’s day.

He was especially interested in the “spot the difference” game and really enjoyed the challenge.

Using tablets in our home can have so many benefits, including:
• Supporting cognitive stimulation and memory
• Encouraging concentration and problem-solving skills
• Promoting independence and confidence
• Providing fun, meaningful entertainment

Our residents have been thoroughly enjoying their time using the Tiny Tablet.

From listening to music and taking part in quizzes, to completing puzzles and playing interactive games, the variety of activities available has provided both entertainment and meaningful engagement.

It’s wonderful to see the enjoyment it brings, as well as the positive impact it has on wellbeing, social interaction, and cognitive stimulation.
The Tiny Tablet has quickly become a valued addition to our activities programme.

This week our residents enjoyed a wonderful visit from Eleanor Productions 🎶

The room was packed as everyone gathered to hear Eleanor’s beautiful voice. She sang a fantastic selection of classics from across the eras, and there was plenty of toe-tapping and singing along throughout the performance!

It was a truly uplifting morning filled with music, memories, and smiles all around. We’re already looking forward to her next visit! 🎤✨

Every second Wednesday of the month, we are warmly visited by St Wulfram's Church who lead a multifaith Holy Communion service..

This is something our residents have enjoyed for many years, a meaningful time for reflection, prayer and coming together in faith.

We’re so pleased to share our newly created and decorated lounge , a calm and cosy space for residents to relax, read a book, or enjoy a quiet moment.

This space isn’t just for our residents, family and friends are warmly invited to use the lounge during visits, whether that’s for a catch-up over a cup of tea, sharing stories, or simply spending quality time together in comfortable surroundings.

Creating spaces where loved ones can connect is so important to us, and we hope this new lounge will be enjoyed by everyone who walks through our doors 💛

What a fantastic time we’ve had celebrating Pancake Day!

Our talented Head Chef, Andrew, prepared a delicious batch of freshly made pancakes that went down an absolute treat, especially topped with cream and fresh fruit! 🍓🍌

The fun didn’t stop there… we also held a pancake flipping race, which had everyone cheering, laughing and showing off their flipping skills. It was fabulous fun from start to finish!

We had a fantastic afternoon of music and laughter last week as the fabulous all-round entertainer Andy Greaves came to visit us! 🎤🎶

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed his performance, there were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter, and some wonderful sing-alongs filling the home. It was lovely to see everyone joining in and making such special memories together.

A big thank you to Andy Greaves for bringing so much joy and energy to our home, we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!

At Red Court, we’re getting egg-cited for our upcoming Easter Raffle! 🐰✨

All proceeds will go directly to our Residents’ Activity Fund, helping us provide more fun activities, entertainment, and special treats for the wonderful people who call Red Court home. 💛
