Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day!📚✏️ Our day was filled with fun activities related to different books. We made our own bookmarks to take home. We made our own Goldilocks porridge which they then got to eat! We decorated rainbow fish with paint papettes and went on a bear hunt practising our pen control. 🐻👧🏼🐟

What a fantastic experience for our little ones today! We journeyed to Grantham College for their aeroplane experience. The children got to go through passport control, security, board the plane and they sat excellently to listen to the lovely college girls go through the safety briefing. They got given colouring, some drinks and snacks and even watched a movie! Before departing and getting given a certificate for how brilliantly they done! Safe to say none of them wanted to leave.✈️💺❤️

Can’t believe Christmas is over! 🎅🏻Just finishing our first week back and the children have been so happy to see eachother and share about their Christmas. At Bright Stars we’ve been learning about the Chinese new year. We have been doing lots of tasks and activities round this. This year the lucky colours are red,yellow and black so we used these colours to make our own snakes. The children each cut out their own pieces, practising their cutting skills. We also used the snakes as an opportunity to do number bonds to 10 and made sure each snake had ten pieces. We also incorporated the use of patterns that we had been learning the week before, which helped them create repeating patterns on their snake. A great way to incorporate lots of different skills in one task whilst learning about a new topic❤️🐍

Is anyone wishing for a white Christmas? The children at bright stars are! It was great to experience a snow day here where the children could make snowmen together, make snow angels and have snowball fights as well as be pulled on the sleigh! Who knows maybe will see some more before Santa comes 🎅🏻☃️❄️
