The family of the late Mrs Sandra Grant wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support during this difficult time. We deeply appreciated the presence of all those who attended both the church service and the gathering at the cemetery. A sincere thank you to Rev. Jade MacLean for her beautiful funeral service, which brought solace to all who gathered. Thanks to the Speyside Hotel for their generous hospitality and thoughtful touch that warmed our hearts. Lastly, our deepest appreciation goes to Lindsay Jack & Son Funeral Directors for their unwavering compassion and attentive care throughout this journey. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. It is with sadness that the family of the late Sandra Grant, aged 98 years of “Struan” Grant Road, Grantown-on-Spey, announce her unexpected passing on Tuesday, 14th of October 2025. Beloved Wife of the Late John Cameron Grant and much loved Mother of Iain, a respected Mother-in-law of Barbara, a loved Granny and Great Granny, a dear Sister, Aunt and respected by a large circle of friends. All family, friends and neighbours are respectfully invited to attend Sandra’s funeral service, which will take place at Inverallan Parish Church, Grantown on Spey, on Thursday, 23 October 2025, commencing at 12 midday and thereafter interment within Grantown New Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however, donations in lieu of floral tributes are welcomed with the chosen beneficiaries being local charities. Marjory wishes to convey her most grateful thanks to all those who attended Grant's Funeral Service. Thanks also for the kind expressions of sympathy received by means of letters, cards, flowers and social media messages received after Grant's passing. Special thanks to all medical personnel and reception staff at Grantown Health Centre, special thanks to Dr Finlay Mudie, the local District nurses for their unfailing care and staff members of Mortimer's of Speyside for their help, care and dedication which allowed Grant to remain at home. Marjory is overwhelmed by the generosity shown, online donations amounted to £2,550. Cash donations amounted to £2,440 and cheque donations amounted to £500. Donations have been forwarded to the chosen beneficiaries both Marie Curie and Maggie‘s centres. Thanks to Rev. Jade MacLean for her visits and comforting service. Thanks also to Stella MacKenzie - Organist, Sandy MacDonnell - Highland Piper, the Brethren of Lodge 241 Craigellachie, The Grant Arms Hotel and the staff of Scrumpy‘s coffee shop for providing excellent food and service pertaining to the post Funeral reception. The family of the Late Leonard Grassick would like to express their sincere gratitude to all family members and friends for their heartfelt, thoughtful expressions of sympathy. They also appreciate everyone who attended the ceremony and those who sent such kind messages. The family extend their thanks to Sandy Macdonell (Highland Piper), Glynis Woodhead (Celebrant), Fiona’s Flower Studio, the Royal British Legion Grantown and the Grant Arms Hotel for their professionalism and hospitality. A special thanks to the staff at Grantown Health Centre, Raigmore Hospital and Badenoch and Strathspey Community Hospital for the excellent care they provided. George (Grant) Mortimer, aged 79 years. Beloved Husband of Margaret (Marjory) nee Forbes and a much-loved and respected Uncle. Proprietor of Mortimers of Speyside, 3 High Street, Grantown-on-Spey. Grant was an active member of Lodge Craigellachie 241, where he held the office of R.W.M. on three separate occasions. It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Leonard Grassick on Friday, 22nd August 2025 at the Badenoch & Strathspey Community Hospital, Aviemore, aged 86 years, of 1 Coppice Court, Grantown-on-Spey. Beloved Husband of Irene and much-loved Father of Nigel and Arlene, a respected Father-in-law, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Leonard was a true Grantonian, a very proud and forthright member of the Community. He was held in high esteem and was a true honourable friend to many. All family, friends, neighbours and past colleagues are respectfully invited to attend a celebration for Leonard’s life at Inverness Crematorium, Kilvean Road, Inverness, on Thursday, 4th September 2025, commencing at 1.00pm. For those locals who wish to offer their last offices of respect to Leonard, the funeral cortège will depart from Coppice Court at 11.00am, making its way to Inverness Crematorium via Grant Road, The Square and Grantown High Street, arriving at the Crematorium at 12.50pm.
