Withens Nursing Home is a carefully designed care home that supports residents to live happy, fulfilled and comfortable lives.

Withens Nursing Home is situated in a pleasant rural location. We provide person centred and meaningful Nursing and End of Life Care in a vibrant, engaging and resident led community. Our established Nursing and Care teams are dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of care, where respect, dignity and choice are at it's centre. Located over two floors, our home includes a light and airy lounge and dining room, as well as a beautiful conservatory overlooking the gardens. Spacious bedrooms, and a variety of communal spaces such as a quiet room and hair salon. Our landscaped gardens are wheelchair accessible and designed to be a welcoming place for people to relax. We are a home from home where family is at the heart of everything we do.

🌟 October Southfleet Superhero Announced! 🌟

This month, Withens Nursing Home is celebrating the amazing Southfleet Women’s Institute as Winners of October’s Southfleet Superhero! 🎉

Our General Manager Gurpreet, popped along to the WI meeting at Southfleet Village Hall to present a special hamper to Tina Lucas, the group’s President and Secretary.

The group was nominated for its brilliant support within the local community, including creating a fantastic post box topper to promote the BIG PINK QUIZ in aid of BREAST CANCER NOW.

This week at Withens Nursing Home we came together to honour Remembrance Day with a heartfelt 2-minute silence and a beautiful service led by our vicar. Residents, families and staff joined in singing hymns and taking a moment to reflect and remember.

Throughout the week, our residents helped create poppies and garlands to decorate their home, making the day even more meaningful. We finished the morning with a lovely buffet and time spent together in remembrance and gratitude.

This is a special time for us to come together, honour those who served, and reflect in unity and gratitude.

🎁 Operation Christmas Child at Withens Nursing Home 🎄

We’re excited to share that Withens Nursing Home is supporting Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child this year! 🌟

We’re inviting staff, families, friends and our lovely community to help us spread some Christmas joy by packing a shoebox for a child in need.
Fill a box with small toys, school supplies or hygiene items, and help brighten a child’s Christmas across the world ❤️

✨🎇 Bonfire Day Fun at Withens Nursing Home! 🎇✨

Today we welcomed some wonderful Year 6 children from Sedley School in Southfleet to celebrate Bonfire Day with our residents. Together we created our very own Guy Fawkes, sang “Angels” by Robbie Williams, and enjoyed delicious homemade shortbread biscuits with hot chocolate, cream, and marshmallows. ☕🍪

There was so much laughter, chatter, and joy throughout the morning — the children didn’t want to leave! 💛 A huge thank you to Sedley School for bringing such warmth and smiles to the home. We can’t wait to welcome you all back for our next event! 🎆

👻 Halloween Fun at Withens! 🎃
Our residents had a spooktacular afternoon filled with cakes, treats, and laughter! Everyone joined in the fun with some dress-up, games, and plenty of Halloween spirit. A big thank you to our wonderful staff for making the afternoon so special and to our residents for getting into the spooky spirit — you all looked amazing! 🧁🕸️🧙‍♀️🧡

✨ Diwali Celebrations at Withens Nursing Home ✨

Last weekend we celebrated the Festival of Lights in true style at Withens Nursing Home! 💫
Our residents, families, and staff enjoyed a magical day filled with colour, culture, and joy — from a vibrant dressing-up station with traditional Indian outfits, to rangoli patterns, diya decorating, henna art, and even tarot card readings that everyone loved!

Of course, no celebration would be complete without delicious food — we indulged in a wonderful variety of Indian snacks, curries, and sweets, surrounded by beautiful decorations that brought Diwali to life.

🌸 A huge thank you to:
🪔 Spices Indian Grocery Store (Peacock Street, Gravesend) — for generously donating decorations, diyas, candles, and treats.
🍬 Barfia Gravesend (Wellington Street) — for the stunning box of traditional Indian sweets that everyone adored.
🔮 Theresa Janday from love Authentic Me — for the magical tarot readings that were such a hit!

We’re so grateful to our amazing residents, families, and staff for making the day so special. The home was full of smiles, laughter, and light — a true Diwali to remember! 🪔❤️

✨ Diwali Spirit at Withens Nursing Home ✨

As we prepare for our Diwali Party this Saturday, 25th October, some of our team went into Gravesend this week for a little inspiration (and shopping!) — but what we didn’t expect was the incredible kindness we’d encounter.

A huge heartfelt thank you to the wonderful owner of Spices Indian Grocery Store on Peacock Street who, upon hearing about our residents and our celebration, generously gifted us Diwali lamps and other goodies — and even asked what more he could do to help. 💛

Mr Sharma, your generosity truly touched our hearts and brought the spirit of Diwali — light, love, and community — to life. 🌟

From everyone at Withens Nursing Home, thank you for your kindness and for helping us make this celebration extra special for our residents. 🙏🪔✨

We look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday 25th October from 1pm to 6pm at the Withens to celebrate diwali with us.

📖✨ Spiritual Comfort at Withens Nursing Home ✨📖
Today, our lovely vicar visited Withens Nursing Home to lead a Bible reading and offer Holy Communion to those who wished to take part. Residents and families joined together in hymn singing, creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere that brought great comfort to many 💖

The vicar will return on Wednesday 12th November at 11am for our Remembrance Day Service — everyone is warmly welcome to join us. 🌹
