🎄✨ Christmas Celebrations at The Withens ✨🎄

Residents and staff at The Withens enjoyed a truly fabulous Christmas party and heart-warming Christmas Day celebrations, filled with laughter, joy, and togetherness.

Surrounded by family and friends, the home was alive with festive cheer as we danced the evening away with our DJ, enjoyed lots of delicious food, face painting fun, and even welcomed a cheeky little Elf who popped in to spread some extra magic!

From festive parties to presents under the tree, from mince pies and cheese boards to a traditional Christmas dinner, every moment was enjoyed and cherished by all. The smiles, laughter, and warmth shared over the celebrations really captured what Christmas at The Withens is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make our residents and staff Christmas party so special. You are all a valued part of our Withens extended family ❤️🎅✨

🎄✨ Christmas Cheer at Withens Nursing Home ✨🎄

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Sedley School to Withens Nursing Home this week, who came to sing beautiful Christmas carols for our residents and their families.

Their voices filled the home with festive cheer and truly captured the magic of Christmas. The residents were smiling from ear to ear, singing along, clapping, and thoroughly enjoying every moment. It was incredibly heart-warming to see the joy on everyone’s faces as the children performed so confidently and kindly.

Intergenerational visits like these mean so much to our residents, and this visit was no exception — it brought back cherished memories and created some very special new ones. A huge thank you to the children and staff at Sedley School for sharing your time, talent, and Christmas spirit with us.

Moments like these remind us what the season is all about ❤️🎶✨

🌟 Southfleet Superheroes – November Winners! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that our November Southfleet Heroes are the incredible St Nicholas Church Gardening Team! 🌿💚

It was an absolute pleasure to surprise them with their well-deserved gift baskets, filled with gardening goodies, refreshments, and a gift voucher to spend however they wish. Their reaction was priceless — so much joy, gratitude and genuine surprise!

We also received a lovely message from Lee Coppitters, who shared:
“All the members of St Nicholas Church Gardening Team and I would like to thank everyone who voted for us in the Southfleet Superhero nominations this month. We are delighted that our weekly efforts in the church grounds are so appreciated by everyone. The work not only brings us a great deal of satisfaction but it is wonderful to know how much it benefits the wider community. We are delighted with our prize which will be very useful in assisting us with our work.”

💛 A Special Little Visitor at Withens! 💛

Yesterday we were treated to the sweetest surprise—our wonderful nurse Wanda brought in her handsome little grandson for a visit! Our residents absolutely adored him and were thrilled to have some cuddles and giggles throughout the day.

He brought smiles to everyone’s faces, and our tiny guest seemed to enjoy every single second of the attention. Moments like these truly brighten the home and remind us how special intergenerational connections can be. 🥰👶✨

✨ Armchair Aerobics Fun at Withens! ✨

Yesterday our residents had an absolutely wonderful time taking part in some armchair aerobics! There was plenty of movement, lots of laughter and big smiles all around. It’s amazing how a bit of music and gentle exercise can brighten everyone’s day. 💛

We love seeing our residents enjoying themselves and staying active — here’s to many more fun sessions! 💪😁

✨ Christmas Light Switch-On at Withens! ✨
Yesterday our home was filled with festive cheer as we gathered together for our magical Christmas light switch-on. Residents, staff, families and friends all joined in to count down to that special moment — and the lights did not disappoint! 🎄💫

The trees are sparkling, the decorations are up, and the Christmas spirit is officially here at Withens Nursing Home. Our residents loved the music, the cosy atmosphere and sharing this moment with the people around them.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today so special. Here’s to a month full of joy, laughter, festive activities and memories to cherish. ❤️🎅🏼✨

A little surprise to sweeten our day! 🧁🥕🧡

These wonderful humans popped into the hospice with a basket full of warm muffins and carrot cake — absolute heroes!
Each month they choose a different charity to spoil, and this time it was our turn.

Our staff and volunteers were thrilled… and very well fed! 🧡✨

🎄✨ Christmas Has Arrived at Withens! ✨🎄

There’s a little extra sparkle in the air… because Christmas has officially come to Withens Nursing Home!

Our residents kicked off the festive season this week by decorating our beautiful Christmas trees and getting creative with their very own handmade wreaths. With Christmas music playing, carols being sung, festive headbands on, and a whole lot of giggles, the home was filled with joy from start to finish.

From spray-painting winter foliage to carefully choosing ribbons and baubles, everyone got stuck in and had so much fun—our craft tables have never looked so magical!

And this is just the beginning…
✨ We’ve still got more trees to decorate
✨ Christmas Jumper Day is coming up
✨ A month full of baking, treats and cosy fun
✨ And of course… we’re eagerly waiting for our mischievous elves to make their cheeky appearance!

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun at Withens, and we can’t wait to make even more festive memories with our residents, families and staff. ❤️🎅🎁
