Happy New Year to all of my wonderful clients!
I hope that you have had some time to rest and recharge over the festive period.

As we move into 2025 there will be a slight increase in my prices from 1st February, as detailed above. I haven’t increased my prices for several years now, however my costs have risen and over the past year I have invested a lot in new equipment and further training for myself.

Many of you book monthly with me and I will be offering a block booking discount for those of you that do. If you advance book 4 treatments over a 4 month period there will be a £5 discount applied per treatment.

What an incredible year 2024 has been!

What a week 😅

This week the building work started at home, so Physiotherapy and sports massage appointments are on hold while the house is literally turned upside down.

This weekend I have been on an aquatic therapy course. 2 very long, full days in canterbury getting to grips with all things water + therapy. Im looking forward to using those skills with patients I see in the pool!

And of course there is still Leo pony to take care of, luckily my Mum has helped me massively by doing the mucking out this weekend, (and sending me photo updates 😂). She got 10/10 but has refused to take the job full time!

I can’t wait for the building work to be finished now, and get you all back for your appointments. Hopefully only another week or so 🤞 (the plasterer has been here all weekend trying to keep things on time.

I’m back to work this week after some well needed rest and sunshine ☀️

Having the perfect posture while you work….

The truth is, having the perfect positioning doesn’t seem to be the most important factor in reducing symptoms of pain.

Why?

Well we are all different, and we all have different thresholds of what we can tolerate pain free.

Symptoms of pain tend to start when you have reached the limit of how long your muscles can maintain the compensatory balancing for your position.

This is closely correlated to time in any position before you fatigue. Which is why it’s really important to move and change positions regularly before you reach the compensatory threshold.

So don’t get too hung up on sitting or standing “perfectly”.
