The importance of good posture: Stooping forwards while you sit at your work desk can cause a host of issues which can be easily recified by simply sitting up straight! When your body stoops, there is an angle of compression which distorts your neck, puts pressure on the supporting joints and muscles, leading to headaches. There is pressure in your chest cavity, which in turn puts pressure on your diaphragm and all of your internal organs including your kidneys, colon and lower back. By sitting up straight using a supporting chair, adjusting it for correct posture and making sure your screen is at eye level, you can make a huge difference to the way you feel at the end of the day.
