Is your house number visible? 🏡

In an emergency, it could make all the difference.

Today is the shortest day (and longest night!) of the year, so we thought we’d remind you about the importance of making your house name or number easy to see.

If you need the emergency services urgently, it’s vital that we can get to you without delay.

🌃 So this evening, please check if your house number is visible from the road in the dark. Make sure there are no fences, bushes or parked vehicles blocking the view.

And if your house has a name, consider displaying the number as well.

Although we use sat-navs and local knowledge to help us get to incidents as quickly as possible, seeing a clear house number can gain valuable seconds – which could help us catch criminals or even save lives.

To help combat this you should take antibiotics exactly as prescribed, never save them for later, never share them with others.

It’s World Pancreatic Cancer Day.

Symptoms can be caused by lots of things, which can make pancreatic cancer hard to diagnose. It’s important to be checked by a GP if things don’t feel normal for you, or if any symptoms change or get worse.
