However, we were so lucky and had a good 8km walk around Clent Hills with a nice half way stop in the pub for a quick drink ๐Ÿท

December Group Walk ๐Ÿฅพ๐ŸŽ„

Our pre Xmas walk is a fab one - and very flat! With the majority of the walk along the canals, this 7.2km walk is what you need in the midst of the pre Xmas madness!

There will be a pub at the end for a post Xmas drink too ๐Ÿฅ‚

How does training look for me currently?

โœ”๏ธ I have written myself a plan (like I do for my clients) which helps keep me accountable

โœ”๏ธ Over a week, I have 4 x structured exercise days which I rarely deviate from. These include a long walk, lower body workout, a run and an upper & core session

โœ”๏ธ By not overloading my plan, I find it easier and more enjoyable to stick to

โœ”๏ธ I do the workouts in generally the same time slots each week, which helps keep consistency

โœ”๏ธ My goals are to continue to improve my fitness and feel strong

โœ”๏ธ Working on my physical strength and fitness, helps my mental health too

โœ”๏ธ I donโ€™t always look forward to training but I always feel better afterwards

Banded Pallof Press ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I use this exercise a lot with clients and they really find it very effective for working their core muscles.

You only need a resistance band and can perform it anywhere!

Tip - make sure you move away enough from where you have tired it to, to feel the muscles working, but donโ€™t move too far away that it jeopardises your technique!

I created the ladies walking group in lockdown and it has provided such an important outlet to lots of women โค๏ธ

Being able to walk, talk, offload and connect - and the bonus of seeing beautiful scenery and visiting new places.

This is a walking group which isnโ€™t about targets and miles, itโ€™s about having a safe space to unwind and share ๐Ÿ˜Š

It is sometimes hard to fit exercise in, I get it!

What works for me is scheduling it in the diary (yes I am a PT and need to schedule my exercise!). This makes it a non-negotiable. I also think of the benefits too - getting stronger, fitter, great for my mental health and making me a better person.

If you are really pushed for time, use those pockets of time through the day to include it. The kettle boiling, cleaning your teeth and taking the stairs where you can!

Exercise can become a habit and just be part of your routine ๐Ÿ˜Š

November group walk ๐Ÿฅพ

Date - Sat 29th November

Time - 12pm

Location - Clent Hills

Distance - 8km

This is a fantastic walk in the lovely Clent Hills and has some lovely views.

Itโ€™s a moderate walk but there are some steep sections too. Walking boots/shoes are needed.

This walk will include a stop at approx 5km for a quick drink and to gain a little energy before attacking a few hills!
