🎄 We’re Christmas ready! 🎄

While many people are preparing to switch off and enjoy the festive break, in the care sector the support continues as normal.

Our incredible care team continues to show up every day throughout the festive period, providing essential care, spreading joy, and for some clients, being the only friendly face they see on Christmas Day.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing carers for their
dedication, compassion, and commitment during the festive season. Your work truly makes a difference, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. 💙

Today we’re sending out Christmas vouchers to our wonderful care team as a small thank you for everything they do 🎄✨

Our business is nothing without our amazing care staff, who work tirelessly to ensure our clients receive the very best care possible. It’s so important to take the time to say thank you and to make sure our teams feel truly valued because they are the heart of our business.

And while Christmas is a perfect time to show appreciation, gratitude for our carers shouldn’t be seasonal. It should be felt, shown, and celebrated all year round.

This year at Maplewood, we hosted a Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children. We invited our clients and care team to join us in raising money for this wonderful charity, and it was fantastic to see everyone come together for such a great cause.

We all embraced the festive spirit and had a wonderful day celebrating with our team. 🎄✨

At Maplewood, our team is spread across Essex, Suffolk, and Kent, which could become isolating for both our care staff and office staff. That’s why staying connected is so important to us.

We make it a priority to support each other through regular video calls, check-ins, and by encouraging our care staff to visit the office whenever they can. The more we connect, the stronger our teamwork becomes and the better we can support the people who rely on us.

Today’s video call brought together Kerry and Becca from Essex, Joti in Kent, Alice in Suffolk and of course, our VIP guest, Goose 🐶 (the incredibly cute one!).

Yesterday we attended an amazing networking event hosted by Dartford Living and Vauxhall W J King Garages Dartford. It was a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to meet, connect and support one another.

We had the chance to speak with many local business owners about shared challenges and ways we can collaborate to strengthen our community. It was also a privilege to meet the Peter Whapshott the Mayor and the Mayoress of Dartford, who were incredibly supportive and showed a genuine understanding of the home-care sector, both from a client and provider perspective. Thank you for taking the time to listen and engage.

We were also delighted to meet Deputy Mayor Avtar Sandhu MBE, who generously shared valuable insights from his extensive business experience.

Thank you, Dartford Living, for hosting such a well-organised and impactful event. We’re grateful to be part of such a supportive local business community.
