Thanking Charlotte Rudge for our grounding morning spent with these beautiful animals. I am slowly building a cranio-sacral connection with this magnificent horse, learning to read his body language and wait for him to come to me. Today he came to me, we connected deeply and found stillness for a few minutes. Very special.

When we talk about health, most people focus on the physical: posture, digestion, or even stress management. But Cranio-sacral Therapy(CST) invites us to listen more deeply—to the emotional imprints held in the body’s tissues and organs.

Eastern medicine teaches that every organ resonates with specific emotions. CST helps us connect with these subtle patterns and release what’s been held beneath the surface.

Take the lungs, for example: grief and sadness can lodge here, restricting movement and vitality. In a CST session, you might feel a softening in this area—not just physically, but emotionally. The body begins to let go.

Did you know your emotions can deeply impact your organs? 👀

▪️In Chinese medicine, each organ is linked to a core emotion:
🫁 Lungs — Grief and sadness. Unprocessed grief can weaken lung Qi and interrupt the natural rhythm of release.
🫀 Heart — Joy and love. Imbalance here—too much or too little emotion—can cause inner dissonance.
⚡️ Liver — Anger and frustration. Held anger can stagnate liver Qi, affecting both emotional and physical flow.
🤒 Spleen — Worry and overthinking. Chronic worry depletes energy and can show up as fatigue or digestive issues.
⚠️ Kidneys — Fear and anxiety. Fear drains kidney Qi, reducing resilience and grounding.

In Cranio-sacral Therapy, we gently contact the body’s intelligence, offering it the chance to release what it no longer needs—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

So if you’re feeling tightness, fatigue, or imbalance, it may not just be structural. Ask yourself:
What emotion might this area be holding onto?

** Please help if you can - Link now working 😅**

We are expecting to have our biggest summer yet and we are trying hard to ensure that nobody misses out because of family finances being put under increasing strain. If you can spare a couple of ££ to help us to provide discretionary activity spaces then we would be very grateful - as will the young person who will benefit 😀

From birth, your tongue is connected to your toes through an intricate network of fascia. If your tongue is not resting correctly in your mouth, things can get out of alignment in your mouth and the rest of your body.

Tongue posture can lead to a foot imbalance and vice versa because the tongue guides all myofascial continuity structures that run from the inner arch of the foot up through the middle of the body to the tongue and jaw muscles.

When the tongue sits on top of the palate, it seals the oral cavity and holds the throat open like a tent. These muscles support the neck, keep your posture straight, help you breathe, and maintain your posture upright.

Your tongue also acts as a rudder and support system through a fascial line, and when the tongue is down, we breathe through our mouth, and the head falls forward due to lack of support, which leads to poor posture and increased energy expenditure.

With many thanks to

I attended a talk by Veda Austin this afternoon in Malvern and was blown away by what this inspirational being had to say. Veda is a water researcher from New Zealand and is on course to change how we think about water. If this spikes your curiosity, check out her link.

A wonderful statement in support of Craniosacral Therapy by HRH King Charles, given to our 3rd Breath of Life Conference in London in 2005. Here is his full statement:
"I am delighted to support this third Breath of Life Conference on approaches to holistic health. As many of you will know, I have for many years been pursuing a vision of a truly integrated healthcare system in the UK, one which brings together the best of conventional, complementary and alternative approaches. As part of this whole person approach, I am particularly keen to see a more holistic and spiritual dimension brought into mainstream healthcare.
Through the work of my Foundation for Integrated Health, we have made great strides in making complementary and alternative medicine more acceptable and available to the general public, but I am well aware that there still is a long way to go before we achieve a properly regulated system in this country.
There is no doubt that work such as yours is vital to the health and well-being of our society which is, now more than ever, so desperately in need of mental, physical and spiritual sustenance. I am convinced that your work with babies and young children, in particular, is crucial in helping to avoid the suffering of future generations by healing imbalances so early in the young lives of individuals.
I was heartened to hear that the Craniosacral Therapy community has embraced the drive towards self-regulation of the profession, with the help and support of my Foundation – a necessity if complementary therapies such as yours are to be taken seriously in the future. I have also noted the progress of the Cranial Forum, over the last few years, as it has moved towards creating a strong and cohesive group that will act as a single regulatory body for this invaluable work.
I wish you every success with this conference, and I hope that it will provide a valuable and fruitful forum for discussion and education for you all in your various professions within the healing arts."
