When we focus more specifically on knees and running, there is now evidence that running can help to prevent knee issues, and indeed you can continue running with arthritis in your knees. Here is a quotation taken directly from the website:

However there are lots of other reasons why people may get knee pain when running and often these can be addressed through some TLC. At our ‘Knees and Below’ workshop on 7th May we will help you to understand what you can do to protect your knees when running so that you can continue to enjoy your running into your later life.

We were blessed with fabulous weather for our ‘Feet First’ run/yoga workshop this morning. Lots of experimentation with our feet…balancing, running, sprinting and bare foot running before a run through the beautiful Chilterns countryside and yoga for feet. Oh and not forgetting the cuppa and Nells homemade cake!

Fashion has been the priority for most people’s footwear choices over hundreds of years, and as a result our feet are often squashed into ill fitting shoes. Running shoes are way better than a lady’s court shoe but they can still constrain your feet in many ways. How often do we spend time looking at or looking after our feet? Yet they are the foundation of good posture, a keen sense of balance and our ability to move freely. Compressed, tight feet are rarely happy feet. Without enough space, the feet lose their supple mobility, which runners need for the constantly changing and adapting angles, forces and terrains. Bring some happiness to your feet at our feet first run and yoga workshop on the 26th March (-:

Hopefully you will seen that we have just 'gone live' with our Summer Series of Run and Yoga Workshops for 2022.

You may reserve your place on any of the workshops (or all 3 if you wish!) by paying a deposit of £10 per workshop. Please contact me (Helen) for details on now to pay.

Our first workshop is all about the feet, which whilst so so important are often neglected. 'Put your Feet first' by coming along on 26th March.
