This caught my eye today. Really lovely words ๐Ÿ’œ

Someday Iโ€™ll walk that golden path, ๐ŸŒค๏ธ
Beyond the tears Iโ€™ve known.
And in that place where pain is gone,
Iโ€™ll find Iโ€™m not alone. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Youโ€™ll be there waiting, arms outstretched,
Your smile so pure, so true.
The ache thatโ€™s lingered all these years,
Will fade in light with you. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Until that day, Iโ€™ll keep your love,
A flame that softly glows.
Through nights of grief and endless dreams,
Itโ€™s you my spirit knows. โค๏ธ

The snow may fall, the years may pass,
But love wonโ€™t disappear.
For heavenโ€™s closer than it seems,
Your presence lingers near. โ„๏ธ

Someday, my soul will cross that bridge,
Where sorrow canโ€™t abide.
And hand in hand, weโ€™ll walk once more,
Together, side by side. ๐ŸŒน

A visionary startup in the Netherlands is transforming the future of burial with eco-friendly coffin-like pods made from mushroom mycelium โ€” the root structure of fungi. These biodegradable pods are designed to decompose naturally in the soil, breaking down within weeks while simultaneously enriching the earth with nutrients from both the pod and the body inside.
Unlike traditional coffins, which often contain metal, varnish, and synthetic materials that hinder decomposition, these mycelium pods promote a natural cycle of renewal. As the body and coffin return to the earth, they support microbial activity and plant growth, turning the burial site into a source of new life rather than long-term waste.
The process aligns with natureโ€™s rhythms and reduces the environmental impact of conventional funerals, which often involve embalming chemicals and non-biodegradable materials. This approach offers a meaningful, sustainable alternative that honors life by giving back to the planet.
By merging ancient biological processes with modern design, this Dutch startup is redefining how we think about death โ€” as a gentle return to the earth, supporting regeneration and ecological balance.

I arrived in my holiday apartment in Greece and noticed a voicemail. It turned out to be local (U. K. not Greece!) Funeral Director asking me if I could officiate a funeral on 1st October. This is my first 'repeat' funeral. I officiate for a dearly loved Grandpa around the end of last year. He had an unusual life story starting his life in U.S.A. and ending in Gorleston. The family absolutely adored him. I met his dearly loved wife as she recalled how they met and shared their life. It is so sad she is gone but it is my honour to help the family say goodbye to her too. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

If you need this, here is your permission. It's OK if you have a few hours or even days when you don't think of your loved ones. Your memories are safely stored. Your loved wants you to carry on. ๐Ÿ’œ

I have many spiritual friends who dread the idea of a typical Crematorium funeral. Funerals/memorials can be held in many places including Woodland Burial halls, Village halls, garden or woods. Ceremonies can include calling on angels, masters, fairies. You can have any music you like including Sound healing instruments, Chanting or folk band.
I absolutely love thinking out of the box! I'm rarely in it to be honest! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’œ

It's my Mum's anniversary today, 24yrs. It has got easier for me but there's always an ache in my heart. The hole a Mum leaves can never truly be filled. I remember her today full of gratitude and love. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
