This week's Friend in Deed session we were joined by little Harper ❤️

Harper helped our residents Rosemary & Josie make Christmas paper chains ⛓️🎅🏼🎄❄️☃️

Our residents this morning took part in a few games from TikTok set up by Sam our Activities Coordinator 💪🏼

We started off by playing a version of air hockey, it certainly brought out the residents competitive side with them trying their hardest to score against each other. Rosemary was the champion playing against Margaret to start with then Gloria.

Next they had a go at the newspaper treadmill 📰 Margaret went against Josie. Margaret won the 1st round then Josie won the next round 🥳

Lastly they played a hand eye coordination game of aiming balls to land on the plates 🏆 we certainly had lots of laughs & we was cheering each other on 👏🏼

Yesterday we celebrated the lovely Gerry on his 86th birthday! 🎁

He was joined for lunch by his wife and brother.

The chef made a delicious Victoria sponge cake with a white chocolate and vanilla buttercream and jam which the residents enjoyed for their dessert!

As you can see, Gerry was overwhelmed with gratitude on his special day!! 😍🥳

🌟Join us for afternoon tea and a fascinating talk about Caister Lifeboat

2.30pm to 4.30pm on Tuesday 16th December!

It’s a story of selfless bravery that began in 1791.

Since that time, successive crews of Caister Lifeboat have saved 392 lives – and are still saving lives today as Britain’s first independent lifeboat.

The miraculous rescues, the tragedies and the amazing characters will all be recalled in a talk by assistant coxswain Richard Thurlow at Eversley Lodge Nursing Home, in North Denes Road, Great Yarmouth.

This is a free event but voluntary donations will be taken for Caister Lifeboat.

Our residents was joined by Ted our pet therapy dog 🐾

Ted & his owner Glenn came to our weekly coffee morning & met up with a few of our residents in the lounge for tea & cake our residents enjoyed Ted's company & Ted made himself right at home 💜

Our residents that couldn't make it to the lounge had the pleasure of Ted visiting them in their rooms 🫶🏻

Ted is absolutely loved by our residents here at Eversley lodge 💜
