We are now in close proximity to being truly fat free. The final dig is underway then we enter peak week. It's time to dry out, carb up, wash off any fatigue and bring a crisp peaked look to shoot day.

This transformation is about far more than the incredible 11kg she’s lost or the muscle we’ve built along the way.

It represents a complete lifestyle shift - one rooted in education, structure, confidence, and long-term sustainability.

In her 50s, she believed she was stuck like many women, stuck not enjoying training, stuck in the cycle of drinking more than she wanted, stuck thinking her best years were behind her.

The biggest shift? Education.

We rebuilt her training from the ground up mastering technique, understanding movement patterns, working through structured phases instead of random workouts. When you know why you’re doing something, confidence replaces frustration.

But the real transformation also came from nutrition.

She stopped dieting and started fueling. She learned how to eat to support performance, recovery and energy while still enjoying life. Off-plan meals became structured, intentional, and guilt-free… not a weekend free-for-all. That balance changed everything.

Lifestyle coaching is very different to prep. It's about meeting that individual where there are and building habits that fit the individual. Everyone’s goals are different and the route to getting there should reflect that.

She’s now the fittest she’s been in over a decade. Stronger. Leaner. More confident. More in control.

Proof that when you combine structure, education and consistency age isn’t a limitation.

Your habits are building your future – are you choosing them or are they choosing you? 💥

This week marks the beginning of Lent, which kicked off on Ash Wednesday - 18th February and it is a time that means different things to different people. Lent lasts for 40 days.

It is also the start of Ramadan in the Islamic culture which is a time used for reflection and celebration. This is for a period of 30 days.

Both traditions emphasise the importance of spiritual renewal and discipline, despite the ways in which they are practised to be very different.

In lent,you can choose to fast from a habit or food, for the period of 40 days leading up to Easter. Whereas in Ramadan, it is a choice to maintain total abstinence for the duration of daylight hours.

So it got me thinking about our habits, our cultures and ways in which we choose to practise discipline in our own lives. What if this next 4 weeks wasn’t just about “giving something up” for the sake of it, but about becoming more intentional overall?

What habits are currently shaping your days and which ones are nourishing you?

Then which ones are restricting your growth? ✨🌙

Maybe this is a time to fast from something that distracts you or a time to reduce something that drains you…

I’m choosing to recommit to my 10k steps daily and reduce screen time in the evening to unwind and switch off before bed. I want to reset my mind, reconnect my spiritual energy, and create space for clarity in this instance.

Same weight. Different physique. 😮‍💨 That’s what a true body recomposition looks like.

When first came to me, he was juggling a lot. As a busy father and a personal trainer, his days were spent pouring into everyone else. Sessions to run, clients to manage, family to look after…

And like so many coaches, he ended up leaving himself on the back burner.

When Larissa first started coaching with me, her main goal was to feel better and not feel tired all the time with work. She didn’t want to do a major cutting phase or build loads of muscle, she just wanted to feel stronger day-to-day and build a healthier routine that fit her lifestyle.

Through consistent online coaching, we focused on building structure and balance - introducing a mix of upper and lower body workouts each week to fit her routine and help her become stronger and improve her overall body composition.

By nourishing her body with better-quality foods, introducing simple, high-quality meals that kept her satisfied throughout the day and using meal timing to give her energy for her workouts, she started to feel a complete shift. 👏🏼

More energy, better focus, and a stronger sense of happiness within herself.

Fantastic work here from lifestyle client Emma 👏🏾

Gut health and bloating issues fixed with a total of 7 kilos of bodyfat shed in 10 weeks. This was all done by getting her into a healthy and structured routine with her nutrition.

Food plays a massive role in having a healthy gut and having a healthy GI plays a huge role In how your responsive your body is.

A few things we implemented to start this process where ⬇️

Include a variety of whole, unprocessed foods.
Include prebiotic and probiotic foods.
Staying hydrated.
Reduce excessive sugar, alcohol, and processed foods.
Manage stress, as it impacts digestion.

Emma likes to eat out like most people do, so we achieved this result by not taking that away but by making more conscious choices when eating out, prioritising protein and good colourful and tasty foods is key!

We faced a number of obstacles in this phase but again this is normal, life isn't always going to give you a straight run and what I like to remind my lifestyle clients espcially is that 'this is a process' and we are unwinding years of bad habits by slowly implementing new sustainable good ones.

Slow, steady consistency wins the marathon 🏁

Tidy-up phase completed with Katrina here who is now 7 KILO DOWN after this initial body recomp phase 👏🏼

It was important to do this phase because in order to reach her goal of toning up and bringing the desired definition throughout her physique, she has to build more muscle tissue.

The best way to effectively grow muscle tissue ladies is to get your body in a responsive state first, ie start from a leaner set point which is where we are up to!

Enjoyable meal plans ✔️

That's what stripping off over 10kg of unwanted body fat looks like 👀 👏🏾

Super proud of my lifestyle client Preslina for her current rate of progress on her fat loss journey so far.

The reason why this lady is successfully changing her body composition is because everything else has changed!

She understands that this is a process and she has given her self a realistic timeframe to get to the job done!

She checks in on time every week without fail.

She communicates effectively about the plan.

She hits her steps, cardio and water because she wants to change her health, her physique, her confidence and ultimately her life.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

So don't ask yourself if it'll be easy because it's not supposed to be at first and that's why it is so fulfilling when you to start to see results from the work and consistency built.
