Meet Aiva 🫶🏻

Aiva has been gaining much experience from shadowing one of our Physiotherapists and has started offering sports massage appointments within the clinic on a Tuesday evening.

She is currently in her first year of an HND Sports Therapy course at the City of Glasgow College with the aim of progressing to a Physiotherapist qualification and career.

Sports has always played a huge part with Aiva, with her competing in netball leagues for many years but now enjoys running, gym sessions and pilates classes.

Both have incredible benefits when done well! Why choose mat?

On the mat, there are no springs helping (or humbling) you. It’s pure strength, control, and body awareness.

✨ Deeper core connection
No moving carriage to distract you — just breath, precision, and those tiny stabilizing muscles doing the real work.

✨ More accessible
All you need is a mat.

✨ Functional strength
Mat Pilates builds control you actually use in real life — standing, walking, lifting, living.

✨ It’s deceptively hard
If you think mat is “easier,” maybe you’re just not doing it right.

Reformer is amazing. But there is the argument that Mat builds the foundation.
