JOB VACANCY

We are looking to recruit a full time Medical Receptionist to join our busy, friendly team. This position is initially to cover maternity leave for a period of approximately 12 months, however, there is the potential of a permanent contract at the end of the cover.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the running of the Practice and delivering excellent patient care.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised candidate to join our reception team. You should have excellent customer service skills, the ability to work as part of the team and on your own initiative. The role involves answering and making calls to/from patients, enquiries from other agency i.e hospitals etc, arranging appointments, processing prescriptions and dealing with incoming/outgoing mail.

The hours of work for this post is:

Week 1 - 9am-5.30pm
Week2 - 9.30-6pm

Although previous experience in a similar role is desirable it is not essential as training will be given.

Salary £25,079.34 pro rata

The Practice will be closed Thursday 25th December (Christmas Day) and Friday 26th December (Boxing Day) we will reopen on Monday 29th December at 8am.

We will then be closed Thursday1st January 2026 (New Years Day) and Friday 2nd January 2026, reopening at 8am on Monday 5th January 2026.

We will reopen on Tuesday 6th May 2025 at 8 am.

The Practice will be closed on Good Friday 18th April 2025 and Easter Monday 21st April 2025. We will reopen on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 at 8 am.

The Practice will be closed on Wednesday 25th December and Thursday 26th December 2024 and will reopen on Friday 27th December 2024 at 8am.

The following week we will be closed on Wednesday 1st January and Thursday 2nd January 2025 and will reopen on Friday 3rd January 2025 at 8am.

NHS 24 can be contacted on 111 for emergencies when we are closed.
