You might see our physio team pitch-side with Greenock Morton F.C. dealing with injuries in the middle of a game.

Our patients often arrive feeling sore, worried, or unsure. The way they’re greeted—the warmth, the clarity, the calm—sets the tone for everything that follows. That’s where you come in.

You’ll be the organised, approachable presence that helps patients feel informed and supported from the moment they first reach out.

Your day might look like:

▪️Answering questions clearly and pointing people in the right direction

🏃🏻‍♂️ Pre-Run Warm-Up: Run Strong, Run Smart 🏃🏿‍♀️‍➡️

Before you lace up and hit the pavement, take 5–10 minutes to warm up properly. A good warm-up can help reduce injury risk, improve endurance, and make your run feel smoother.

Here are a few key stretches & movements to do before a run 👇🏽

🔹 Ankle Rolls
Helps prevent ankle strains and improves stability.
➡️ 10 each direction

🔹 Calf Raises
Prepares calves and Achilles for impact.
➡️ 12–15 reps

🔹 Hip Circles
Improves hip mobility and running efficiency.
➡️ 10 circles each direction

🔹 Leg Swings (Front & Side)
Loosens hips and prepares your legs for forward motion.
➡️ 10–15 swings each direction per leg

🔹 Walking Lunges
Activates glutes, quads, and hip flexors.
➡️ 8–10 reps each side

✨ Warm-Up Tips from Rashi:

✔️ Focus on dynamic stretches, not long static holds
✔️ Start your run easy for the first 5 minutes
✔️ If something feels tight or painful—don’t ignore it

A few snaps from various matchdays with our physio team — including Rish, Waleed and Eilidh supporting players pitch-side.

‼️4 Exercises for Knee Pain‼️

1. Reverse Nordics: Reverse Nordics are great for targeting the quadriceps, which can help stabilise the knee joint and improve overall knee function. They’re often used to strengthen the muscles around the knee to prevent injury and alleviate knee pain. 🦵🏼

2. Bridging with Calf Raises: This exercise primarily targets the glutes, hamstrings, core and calf muscles. Strengthening these muscles can help improve knee stability and reduce strain on the knee joint during activities like walking, running, and jumping. 🚶🏼‍♀️🏃🏾👟

3. Slider Lunge Rotation: Slider lunge rotation engages the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and core muscles. It helps improve hip mobility, balance, and coordination, which can indirectly benefit knee health by reducing stress on the knee joint during movement. If you don’t have slider you can use socks on the floor. 🧦

4. Reverse Lunge Rotation with Barbells: This exercise targets multiple muscle groups including the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and core muscles. Adding resistance with barbells increases the challenge, helping to build strength and stability around the knee joint, which can aid in injury prevention and pain relief. 💪🏼
