St Andrew’s Day Celebrations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To mark the occasion, we have Russell the Piper joining us to play a selection of Scottish tunes in the morning, followed by an afternoon of singing and dancing with Bill the Entertainer. We’ll be celebrating in true Scottish style - a ceilidh full of fun, laughter and maybe even a few twirls on the dance floor!

Staying Active with Katie and Rachel 🌟

We’re delighted to welcome our new physiotherapists, Katie and Rachel, who have quickly become part of the Bagatelle family. They run exercise sessions in the lounges, encouraging everyone to take part and have fun while keeping active.

The classes are full of smiles, gentle movement, and encouragement - helping residents stay mobile, strong, and engaged.

Our Halloween Party was a brilliant success! We enjoyed dressing up and having family and friends over to celebrate with us.

There’s been plenty of creative energy around the home as residents and staff were busy making Halloween decorations to give Bagatelle a spooky seasonal feel. A big thank you to Claire, who has done a fantastic job adding decorations throughout the building - in every corner, nook, and cranny!

Baking Delights 🧁

The monthly Bagatelle Bake-off brings plenty of fun and tempting aromas. Residents and staff worked together to try new recipes, with plenty of chatter about whose cake would come out best. We had to keep an eye out for sneaky tasters dipping into the cake mixture, but it was all part of the fun!

Clyde View Academy students have continued their visits, chatting with residents and joining in activities. These intergenerational moments are always heart-warming and bring much joy to the lounge.

A Country Hoe-Down 🤠

One of our highlights in September was undoubtedly the Hoe Down with Shelagh McKay Jones. She had everyone up on their feet, singing and dancing along to country and western favourites. The energy and atmosphere were fantastic, and we are already looking forward to her return in November.

Exciting News at Bagatelle Care Home!

We’re delighted to announce that Rachel McFarlane, an experienced and highly regarded Physiotherapist, will now be working with us in-house for 10 hours each week.

This is a fantastic step forward in supporting the health, wellbeing and independence of our residents. Regular physiotherapy can make a real difference, from maintaining mobility and strength to aiding recovery and building confidence in everyday activities.

By welcoming Rachel into our team, we can ensure that residents receive professional, personalised physiotherapy care right here at Bagatelle. Her expertise will complement the compassionate support already provided by our dedicated staff, giving families added reassurance that their loved ones are receiving the best possible care.

We’re proud to continue investing in services that enhance the quality of life for our community and we look forward to seeing the positive impact of this new initiative.
