10 Big Birthdays-One Big Night Out!
2025 is a big year for us with 10 of our amazing team celebrating milestone birthdays! 🥳✨

To mark the occasion, the girls swapped eye charts for bingo cards and headed to Bongo’s Bingo 🎱 for a night full of laughs, dancing, and maybe just a little chaos (no dancing on the tables though… promise! 😉).

Here’s to bingo babes, BIG birthdays & brilliant memories — and seeing the year ahead in perfect focus! 🤩

Remember how we said 2025 is a huge year for us, packed with 10 BIG birthdays?!

Ann, Sharon, Clare, Janice, Caroline, and Annmarie smashed the big 60! Campbell-almost the big 50! Nicola, fabulous at 40! Last but certainly not least, Anna and Kirsty, our dynamic duo turning 30!

Well… the party’s finally happening! 🥂🍾

This Saturday, 25th October, we’ll be closed while our amazing team deservedly celebrates all those milestone moments — from the fab 30s to the super 60s!

Apologies in advance — we hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience.

We’ll be back refreshed, recharged, and ready to see you on Monday morning. 👩🏼‍🏫😁

We are delighted to celebrate Elizabeth, who has reached another wonderful milestone with us – 25 years since coming back to Reid Mackellar!

Elizabeth first joined the practice at just 16, straight out of school, when she was taken on by our founder, Mr Mac – Campbell and Mhairi’s grandpa. After a short break away in the late 1990s, she returned, and we couldn’t be more thankful that she did. For the past 25 years Elizabeth has been such a dedicated, loyal, and much-loved part of our team and family business. From all of us at Reid Mackellar – thank you Elizabeth, for everything you’ve given to our patients and our practice over the years. Here’s to many more happy years ahead together! 🥂💐

England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton was told she’d never make it as a professional athlete by doctors. Now, she’s one of the England Team’s heroes.

Hannah has an eye condition called strabismus, where eyes don’t look in the same direction as each other. She also has a lack of depth perception, meaning she finds it harder to judge distances.
She’s said it’s most noticeable when pouring drinks: “When pouring a glass of water, I’ll miss the glass if I’m not holding it.”

“It was always my passion to do sport and it was my dream. You’ve got to follow your dreams and, sat here right now, I can say that I’ve done that.”
