Moving On Inverclyde

Moving On Inverclyde A Centre of Excellence facilitating long-term recovery pathways. Supporting People In Inverclyde Since 2002. https://linktr.ee/moinverclyde

Moving On Inverclyde is a support service for people affected by their own or another’s problematic use of alcohol or drugs. We have been providing services in Inverclyde since 2002. We believe everyone has the potential to rebuild their lives and reshape their futures. We also understand those using our service may have other difficulties or situations requiring support besides their recovery. This is why we have a full and robust package of support available through our partnerships and collaborations with local services to empower and enable a successful recovery.

Have your say on MAT Standards💚

Scottish Families Inverclyde Family Support Service are inviting family members in Inverclyde to join a focus group and share their experiences and ideas around Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standards. Their insight can help shape how services are delivered and make sure family voices are heard.

The focus group will take place on Wednesday the 21st of January, from 12.00pm until 2.00pm, at the Salvation Army Building on King Street in Port Glasgow.

Limited spaces available. To register or for more information, please email Glynis.Boyle@sfad.org.uk.

𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑬 𝑼𝑺𝑬𝑹 𝑺𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻📝

We recently received a thank you card from a former service user, and it meant more than words can say.

They shared that they have now been abstinent from alcohol for two years and have been able to rebuild relationships with their friends and family along the way.

Recovery looks different for everyone. There is no single path, no fixed timeline and no one definition of what success should be. What matters is the courage it takes to walk through the door and begin.

We are proud of each and every person who chooses to take that step with us, wherever their journey leads💚

𝑨𝑵𝑵𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑪𝑬𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻! 📢

We’ve just published a new post on the Sycamore Hope blog, and this one is all about boundaries for women in recovery, written by our Events and Marketing Manager Melissa Pick.

Setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable, especially when you’re used to putting everyone else first. This blog explores why boundaries matter in recovery, how they can protect your wellbeing, and why women are allowed to prioritise their safety and peace without guilt.

If this topic resonates with you or with someone you support, we hope it offers reassurance and understanding.

COMMUNITY PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: The Newark Trust 📢

Everyone at Moving On Inverclyde would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Newark Trust for their generous support. Through their Community Places Fund, they have kindly funded the upcoming renovations to our new Port Glasgow office, helping us create a welcoming and supportive space for the people who use our services.

The work we do would not be possible without the support of funding partners like the Newark Trust, and we are incredibly grateful for their belief in our mission and our community💚
