Hi 👋 everyone!
As promised, the monthly reiki drum healing session begin again, with the change in the clocks, spring has sprung and here we are with our Reiki Drumming journey, entering this brand new season!
I’ve felt a strong calling to curate a space specifically for women’s healing and empowerment.
Moving forward, our sessions will be dedicated to exploring the unique resonance of the feminine spirit through the beat of the drum.
This will be a safe, soft, and powerful container for us to share, release, and recharge.
I am honored to lead this new path and hope you’ll join me for our first women-only gathering on the last Wednesday of this month.
Why the name change?
The Compass Rose is one of the most beautiful and enduring symbols in history.
If you’ve ever looked at an old sea map or a modern atlas, it’s the ornate, star-like figure used to show the directions (North, South, East, and West).
Before we had digital GPS, the Compass Rose was the most important tool for a traveler.
Here is why it fits with our Reiki drum group so perfectly
It is a Symbol of "The Center"
In the middle of all those pointing arrows is a single, still point.
In healing work, that represents the "Self" or the "Heart."
No matter how windy or chaotic the "weather" of life gets, the Compass Rose stays fixed.
It’s a great metaphor for Reiki—helping people find their centre, when they feel pulled in too many directions.
In traditional shamanic practices, the Four Directions (North, South, East, and West) are sacred.
Each direction represents different elements, seasons, and stages of life.
The Compass Rose is a map of these directions.
It allows us to honor shamanic traditions.
It represents the sacred circle and the four winds.
Finding Your Way.
Historically, it was called a "rose" because the petals of the directions resemble the petals of a flower.
It suggests that finding your direction isn't just a cold, mathematical thing, it’s a beautiful, blooming process. 🌹
