Important notice regarding adjoining pharmacy at Stirling Medical Centreℹ️

As some of you May be aware the adjoining pharmacy at Stirling Medical Centre has been closed indefinitely.

We understand this may cause some concern but the pharmacy is completely independent and has no affiliation with our practice.
rest assured this does not affect the care you receive at the Dr Kumar's surgery and all of our services will continue as normal.

We are yet to hear any formal news regarding the pharmacy but will update you as soon as we do.

if you have any questions relating to your prescriptions or need advice in transferring to another pharmacy our team are here to help you with this.

We are aware that many of our patients may have seen the reports in the news over the last couple of days that the NHS can now prescribe Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) for weight loss. However, we have received guidance from our local integrated Care Board (ICB) that this is not currently available to access from primary care (GP Practices and
community pharmacies) for weight loss, on the NHS, anywhere in Humber and North Yorkshire.

We understand this may be frustrating but eligible patients will be updated when this does become available on the NHS in our area. Although this will not be available for everyone and the national eligibility criteria will be in place.

We would firstly like to thank you all for your condolances of the passing of our beloved practice nurse, Kim.
She was a cherished part of our team and will be deeply missed by colleagues and patients alike.

We understand there may be some concern during this difficult time but we want to reassure all our patients and the community that patient care will continue as normal at the practice with a team of nurses including a nurse practitioner in place.

It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our dear colleague and dear friend Kim passed away this week after a short period of illness. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family during this incredibly difficult time.

KIM was not only a valued member of our team but also a compassionate and dedicated nurse who touched the lives of many patients and colleagues alike throughout her career. Her loss is felt deeply across our practice and the wider community, so we ask for your patience and understanding during this time.
