"Apprenticeship Training – Week 7: Reading Week 📚 Time to take a breath and relax!

This first half term has been an absolute whirlwind. From visiting Salford for an open day back in mid-June, my feet haven’t touched the ground since!

I wrapped up my assistant course and jumped straight into the next one — and what an adventure it’s been.

💼 60 train rides (plus 4 unexpected ones!)

🎓 60 lectures

🏥 6 clinic days

Feeling tired but proud — and honestly, I can’t wait to get back to it next week."

Best Foot Forward - Excited for what each new day will bring.

It is the end of the first month of my Podiatry Apprenticeship in conjunction with the University of Salford.

What a month it has been, meeting new friends, balancing study, travel, work and home, but it is amazing.

As one of a very small number of Apprentice Podiatry Students from a private practice embarking on this new stage in my career I want to share my journey and encourage others to do the same.

It’s not all about cutting toe nails!
