🌙 The Cove After Dark is HERE! 🖤

​Modern Matriarchs is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new evening session: The Cove After Dark!

​For those who love our Sunday women’s coffee morning drop-in at The Snug Cafe (and those that haven't yet made it) you can now join us when the stars come out! We’re keeping the warm, supportive atmosphere and adding a little extra sparkle ✨

​Our first After Dark session is a super fun, creative workshop run by women, for women:

​🎄 Yule Wreath Making Workshop 🌿
​When: December 1st, 2025
​Time: 5 PM - 7 PM
​Where: The Snug Cafe and Bar, 2-4 Brighowgate, Grimsby
​Cost: £15

​Get ready to channel your inner craft goddess! This is a Creative Workshop with the fabulous Phoenix from the Trashes , where we'll be making gorgeous Yule wreaths entirely from recycled materials. Perfect for the planet and your unique style!

​What to expect at After Dark:
​☕ Daytime Faves: Enjoy your usual coffees, teas, and delicious snacks.
​🥂 Night-Time Treats: Craft ale, wine, and other drinks to help you unwind after a long day.
​👯‍♀️ Inclusive Vibes: Whether you're a stay-at-home mum, a corporate boss, a quirky alternative queen, or just looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to meet other women, The Cove After Dark is for YOU.

With the colder weather coming and the rise of costs in fuel we want to try and help with thanks to warm places and kind places, North East Lincolnshire Council health and care partnership we are able to deliver warm packs all it is a little form that is encrypted and secure and you will be able to access any other forms of support via here too.

Sometimes, all you need is a welcoming environment to take a breath, have a good chat, or just simply be. That's exactly what you'll find at The Cove, our women-only drop-in session.

You decide! The Cove is a place built entirely around your needs.

🔸Warm Welcome & Refreshments: Grab a cuppa and a biscuit! Our volunteers are here to greet you with a friendly face.

🔸Support & Signposting: Need a little help? We offer a confidential space to chat and receive general support or signposting on a range of issues, including:

Budgeting & Finances
Wellbeing & Mental Health
Family Issues..or whatever is on your mind.

🔸Time for Yourself: Just want some quiet time? We have materials available for you to read, colour, crochet, or simply sit in peace. There is no pressure to talk or participate in activities.

🔸Safe Community: It's a place to connect with other women, share experiences, and build a sense of community.

Absolutely no appointment is needed. Just walk in, exactly as you are.
