Quayside Medical Centre is a registered GP practice located off Freeman Street in Grimsby, close to the flyover. We are currently taking on new patients and can provide a variety of NHS and non NHS services from our GP and Nursing Staff Team. PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer a drop in centre and operate as a GP practice with new patients required to register and make appointments.

❄️ Winter Warm Clothing Appeal ❄️

Many of the people registered at Open Door will not experience the same festivities that so many look forward to at this time of year. For some, this season brings not excitement and joy but dread, as they face the winter without adequate warm clothing.

Right now, the greatest need is for men’s and children’s clothing, though women’s donations are also gratefully accepted.

We are especially in need of:
🧢 Hats
🧣 Scarves
🧤 Gloves
🧥 Coats
🧦 Socks
👢 Boots

These items do not need to be new. As children grow quickly, and as wardrobes change, you may have suitable clothing at home that no longer fits or is no longer worn; these could make a huge difference to someone this winter.

The holiday season is a time for giving, sharing, and making memories. This year, we invite you to join our Christmas Toy Drive and help bring smiles to children in need! 🧸

What Can You Donate? 🎁

We welcome a wide range of gently used toys suitable for children of all ages, including:
⭐Action figures, dolls, and plush toys
⭐Board games and puzzles
⭐Books and educational games
⭐Building blocks and construction sets
⭐Art supplies and creative kits

Please ensure all donated items are clean, complete, and in good working condition. We are unable to accept broken, heavily worn, or unsafe toys.

“Stop the Bleed” kit donated to Open Door & Quayside

We’re proud to announce that a “Stop the Bleed” kit has been generously donated to Open Door and Quayside Medical Centre and has been installed in front of the building on Albion Street, Grimsby. This vital equipment is designed to help save lives in the event of a traumatic injury, such as a stabbing or serious accident.

Special thanks to Raymond Beeson, who recently visited the centre to present the kit to our paramedics, Nick and Andy, in memory of his grandson Tom Gaughan.

Tom’s family are determined to keep his memory alive by fundraising to place bleed kits across Grimsby, Cleethorpes and surrounding areas, giving members of the public the tools they need to help in an emergency before paramedics arrive. The kit will be registered with the ambulance service so they can send people to Open Door/Quayside in the case of a serious bleed within the vicinity of the surgery.

These kits contain essential items that can be used in the critical moments after a major injury, helping to control bleeding and potentially save a life and we’re pleased to be able to support this cause.
