The Food Ark

The Food Ark Diet and lifestyle programme. Low carb, low sugar, healthy eating, gluten free and coeliac friendly. This eating plan is eating real, normal food.

Lots of life hacks to save you time and money are included in the plan. Designed for busy people. Reducing the carbohydrate and sugar in your diet forces your body to use fat reserves for energy. At 60 I am happier with my body than I have every been as I am lean and muscular without having to kill myself with exercise. I can now happily say I weigh less than I ever have in my adult life. Over the last 12 months I have lost 3 stone in weight and am now maintaining a healthy stable weight within the BMI range for my height. The Food Ark Lifestyle Plan is based on the diets of the people of Japan and Scandinavia, the healthiest countries in the world. Using freshly prepared foods, flavour paring and eating specific foods at specific times of day. This plan works! It has saved me money on my weekly food bill and will easily fit in with a family lifestyle. I want to share the plan with anyone and everyone who struggles with their weight, or just wants to eat healthier. You can purchase a one off plan to get you started. Or alternatively with a monthly subscription you will receive lots of guidance and support to help you through your journey to a healthier lifestyle. Workshops

Like other leading killers, especially heart disease and high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes may be an unfortunate consequence of dietary choices. There is hope, though, even if you already have diabetes. Indeed, even if you’ve been suffering with the disease for decades, you may be able to achieve a complete remission of type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes.

One of the latest trials studied the effect of a strictly plant-based diet versus the conventional diabetic diet on blood sugar control of patients with type 2 diabetes. For the diabetic control diet, researchers calculated specific calorie and portion controls. On the plant-based diet, however, people could eat much as they want. (That’s one of the benefits of eating plant-based!)

What did researchers find after controlling for the greater abdominal fat loss in the plant-based group? Those who pretty much stuck to the more healthful plant-based diet dropped their A1c levels by 0.9 percent, which is what you may get taking the leading diabetes drug—but with only good side effects.

One of my favourite salad recipes we just had for lunch. Thinly sliced tomato laid along the bottom of a dish. Finely chopped cucumber and spring onion sprinkled on top. Chop up half a small pack of feta cheese into small squares and sprinkle on top with a handful of black olives. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste. Enjoy!
