✨ GLP-1s & HRT: Protecting Your Womb ✨

If you’re on HRT and starting a GLP-1 medication (like semaglutide or tirzepatide), it’s important to check your endometrial (womb lining) protection.

💡 Why?
GLP-1s can slow digestion, which may reduce how well your body absorbs oral progestogens. Without enough progestogen, oestrogen can overstimulate the womb lining.

🔑 BMS guidance highlights:
✅ Consider non-oral HRT routes (patches, gels, IUD).
✅ The Mirena IUD is the most reliable option for womb protection.
✅ If taking oral progestogen, you may need a higher dose for 4 weeks after starting or increasing GLP-1 treatment.
✅ Any unexpected bleeding? Always get it checked.

🌸 Safe HRT is about balance — talk to your menopause specialist before making changes.

✨ Why Choose a Menopause Specialist? ✨

Navigating menopause can be overwhelming — but you don’t have to do it alone.

Working with a menopause specialist means:
✅ Evidence-based care tailored to your symptoms and needs
✅ Expert knowledge of body-identical HRT and safer prescribing practices
✅ Support that evolves with you through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond
✅ Time to listen — your concerns are valid and deserve more than a 10-minute chat

Menopause is not “one-size-fits-all.” A specialist can help you feel empowered, informed, and in control of your health.

💬 If you're unsure where to start, reach out — you deserve care that makes sense for you.
