👁️ Meet the Consultant: Mr. Saruban Pasu

As part of our Meet the Consultant series, this week we’re highlighting Mr Pasu, a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon performing over 1,200 procedures a year and treating patients across our Brighton, Surrey, and Maidstone Eye Hospitals. Beyond his surgical expertise, he is passionate about teaching the next generation of eye surgeons and has contributed internationally through research that helps patients make informed decisions about macular hole surgery.

He’s also the founder of The Guru Projects Foundation, a charity providing cataract surgery to populations around the world who wouldn’t normally have access to care, with over 500 procedures already completed in Colombia.

For many people, the first signs of changing vision become most noticeable after dark - whether it’s glare from headlights, blurry road signs, or simply feeling less confident behind the wheel.
