£25 Acupuncture: Menopause Success

Karen's story

At the age of 49 Karen stated having irregular periods, disturbed sleep due to night sweats, fatigue , hot flushes and anxiety.

Her GP prescribed HRT patches but they only helped a little with hot flushes and her other symptoms became even worse.

After 6 months on HRT Karen started having regular acupuncture treatment with us

After the second treatment she slept through the night for the first time in a year and felt better in other ways.

After the 3rd session she started reducing her HRT dose and gradually came off completely after 2 months.

Her symptoms are now 80% better, her energy has increased and she has taken up Pilates.

Karen recommended acupuncture to her sister who is 3 years older and couldn't take HRT and she is now a regular client and improving steadily.

The World Health Organisation has approved Acupuncture to treat menopause.
