I completely understand that everyone has their own life—some of us have families, others have a million things to do, and some work long hours. I used to think I didn’t have time either, but looking back, I know that was just an excuse.
I wake up an hour earlier to make sure I exercise at least five times a week. On most days, it takes just 30 minutes, and if it’s the gym or swimming, maybe an hour longer. For me, I like variety—I don’t enjoy going to the same gym or doing the same workout five times a week. Sometimes I go for a bike ride, sometimes to a pool in a different location, or try something else. It keeps things interesting for me. But if you like routine, that’s also perfectly fine—find what works for you.
On days when I do a shorter workout, I do it at home—I’ve got a few dumbbells, lay out my mat, and it really makes a difference. Even a short session at home can give your body a great boost.
At first, it’s tough. I didn’t have energy or motivation, and I didn’t feel like getting out of bed. But once I got on the bike, or into the pool, or out to run in the park, the feeling of happiness was incredible—pure zen.
Take it one step at a time, and you’ll get there 💛
