For as long as I can remember, since being a little girl, Halloween felt ✨️magical✨️. The shift in energy at this time has always been palpable to me and then as I grew up, it became my favourite celebration of the year. Often called "the witches' new year", I guess I felt a bit of a homecoming - this was my permission slip to lean into the more spiritual side of me without having to answer questions I didn't yet have responses to.
Summer is a distant memory and even autumn is now slipping out of grip. For a girl who loves the sun and the warmth, there's something so instinctive about this precise time of year for me; I feel the pull. I feel the need to shed, let go, release the year behind us. This particular cross quarter festival bellows to me loud and clear.
Have a look at ways you can honour this most pivotal of celebrations in the wheel of the year and I'd love to know what you get up to!
It's always been a very private and inward reflection for me, but maybe next year I will call a circle and we can gather together 🔥🎃🕯💀🍂🖤
