Health professionals and community members can access resource guides to plan activities.

🎪Events:

Local and national events include educational seminars, community fundraisers, and awareness-raising walks.

🧠WHAT IS STRESS AWARENESS MONTH🧠

Observed every April since 1992, Stress Awareness Month raises awareness of stress, its effects, and how to manage it. Led by the Stress Management Society, this annual initiative empowers individuals and organisations to take practical steps toward healthier, more resilient lives. Each year has a theme that reflects the challenges of the time and inspires action.

🐶National Puppy Day🐶

Today is the day to celebrates the joy and unconditional love that puppies bring into our lives and highlights the importance of animal welfare.

Within Belmont View we believe that pet therapy is a very strong way to help support individuals by reducing anxiety, depression, and loneliness, while enhancing social skills and motivation in therapeutic settings.

Key Benefits of Pet Therapy:

🧠Mental Health Improvement: Animals provide non-judgmental comfort, decreasing anxiety and depression while helping patients manage traumatic stress.

💪🏻Physical Health Benefits: Interaction with animals lowers blood pressure, reduces heart rate, and can aid in pain reduction.

👩‍🦯‍➡️Rehabilitation and Mobility: Therapy animals encourage physical activity, such as walking or grooming, improving motor skills and independence.

💬Social and Cognitive Growth: The presence of a pet improves communication, stimulates conversation, increases engagement in group activities, and helps with memory issues in older adults.

😊Emotional Support: Animals provide companionship and a sense of purpose, often reducing feelings of isolation in hospital, nursing home, and school environments.

So how does your puppy help support you? Put some comments and pictures below and spread the love 🥰
