I’ve always struggled with medical anxiety — hospitals, needles, even routine checkups would send my heart racing.
So when I found out I was pregnant, that anxiety felt bigger than ever.

I wanted to feel excited… but instead, I felt overwhelmed by fear.
I knew I needed something to help me feel calm, grounded, and in control again.

That’s when I discovered hypnobirthing. 💫
It wasn’t what I expected — not fluffy or “woo-woo” at all.
It was logical, science-backed, and rooted in understanding how the mind and body work together during birth.

Slowly, everything started to shift.
I learned how to breathe through fear, how to trust my body, and how to stay calm even when things felt uncertain.
It brought me closer to my partner, my baby, and myself.

For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel ruled by anxiety — I felt empowered by knowledge and calm.
Hypnobirthing didn’t just change my birth… it changed me. 🤍

If you’ve ever felt anxious about pregnancy or birth — please know there’s another way.
A calmer, more connected, and confident experience is possible.

✨ Did you know only around 4% of babies arrive on their estimated due date?

With such a tiny percentage, it really makes you think... why are we even using these anymore?!

We tend to put so much pressure on one specific day, but the truth is... It’s *very* unlikely that your baby will arrive on that exact date.

Here's something really important - putting all that focus on a single day can actually lower your **oxytocin levels**—the very hormone that helps with labour and bonding.

Instead, I tend to suggest thinking of a **due window** can feel much more positive and reassuring...

🌼 Most babies arrive sometime between **37 and 42 weeks**, though a few may come earlier or later (according to the World Health Organization).

And did you know due dates don’t even account for things like:

💛 Ultrasounds having a 10-day margin of error
💛 Our unique family birth patterns
💛 The fact that not everyone has a 28-day cycle

If no one gave you a specific due date… would you still focus on it so much?

When working with my clients, I always tend to say, do something fun on that date. Go get that oxytocin flowing 💓

I'm now taking bookings up to the end of 2025 — head to the bio or send a DM to chat more! 💛

You've thought about the birth bit.. what about afterwards?💓

The first weeks after birth can be a lot — physically, emotionally, and mentally.

And when it comes to preparing for parenthood... this is absolutley one of the things I always suggest people think about.

Believe in yourself 💓

Receiving an email from a family after the birth of their baby is one of the best parts of my job.

This one really got me.

When I met this mama for the first time we discussed how building confidence and self belief was the most important focus.

Control, letting go of control, controlling what needed to be controlled.

We chatted about how hypnobirthing isn't about birthing or feeling a certain way, its about trusting in yourself.

Sometimes just sitting down with someone, chatting it through... being that listening ear whilst we chat through those subjects that you really really don't want to but know in your heart its best - can make all the difference.

I'm so incredibly proud of all of you and again - just a huge thank you. You did it!

The diary for August is now fully booked but if your looking for something in September or October - I've got a few spaces available both online and face to face.

The September group course only has a few spots left too! Head to the comments to save yours today 🙂

Ways to create a positive birth mindset✨

When I first started preparing for Charlottes birth.. I never really understood why this mattered.

Until I understood what a difference our mind has on the rest of our body.

Our mind is an incredibly powerful thing and when I started to unpick a lot of my fears about birth - they had come from a place of watching too much rubbish tv or other people talking about birth in a negative way around me as a kid.

So when I fell pregnant.. I knew I had work to do.

To overcome a lot of these deeply imbedded anxieties that I'd built up for as long as I could remember.

Creating a positive mindset for birth is very individual... some people already might have some great foundations in place (this is how it absolutely should be!) and some people like me need to explore and find a variety of tools to help build up confidence (you are not alone if this is the way you feel).

As part of my hypnobirthing and antenatal courses, we explore a variety of topics which help you to start to build up that positive mindset.

That might be through understanding how birth works.

Or connecting with your birth partner.

Or in the case of hypnobirthing, it might be developing a variety of tools that help you to feel calm and in control.

Connecting all of these dots together for many people can make a HUGE difference in their mindset, because it proves to them that they do have more control than what they originally thought!

My September group course has now started taking bookings with only a few spaces left, if you'd like to secure a spot - head to the bio to book.

Or if you'd like to learn more - DM me for your free intro to antenatal and hypnobirthing videos.

Just wow... 💖

I received this feedback from a wonderful mama who I worked with during one of my hypnobirthing group courses.

Birth is often about letting go and finding the right path in the moment, trusting yourself and hypnobirthing can often really help people to explore what tools can support during the process.

Learning techniques such as the game changing breathing technique... ways to protect your space can make a huge difference and another big part of what I do as a birth coach is help families understand the healthcare system, listen to their intuition, and feel confident no matter what happens.

You absolutely smashed it! 👊

Thank you for trusting me to be there during such an important time in your life. 💕

If you'd like to book a hypnobirthing course with me - there's a few spaces left on the September group and availability for 1:1s both face to face and online😀

Hey, its Laura - finally saying hi! 😂

So its been a while since I've really said who I was on here so here I am... here's some things you need to know if you want to work with me.

At some point the conversation will go onto food... I don't know how or why it just does.

I'm laid back but very passionate - particularly when we start to talk about your choices in birth!

Feel free to come say hi or if your interested in working with me, drop me a message and lets talk!
