It’s nearly summer time, and we hope that our patients who are lucky enough to be travelling abroad enjoys their holidays.

✈️ Flying can be stressful and you may be wondering if your GP can prescribe something to help - please be advised that NHS Lothian does not recommend prescribing benzodiazepines (such as diazepam) for phobias and, as such our Practice will no longer prescribe for fear of flying.

🚨 Staff Training 🚨

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

We will have a restricted service from 12 noon on Wednesday 11th March for an East Lothian wide staff training session.

We will be offering an urgent service only from 12-6pm

Normal service will resume from 8am Thursday 12th March

All women between the ages of 25 & 64 are sent invitations for cervical screening. This can detect early changes in cells that can be treated before they become cancerous. It’s important to attend for cervical screening every time you’re invited, this is typically every 5 years. If you have missed a smear test, please contact the practice and we will get you booked in with one of our lovely nurses.

Please speak with a GP if you have any unusual discharge, bleeding after s*x, between periods or after the menopause
These are usually caused by something other than cancer but it’s important to have them checked.
