Tuesday's Blood Moon is the last total lunar eclipse until 2029. It's happening during Mercury Retrograde, right in the middle of a Saturn-Neptune conjunction that hasn't occurred since 1989. So getting the sign right matters.

Every mainstream astrologer is calling this a Virgo eclipse. Decluttering, health routines, perfectionism.

But the Moon is in Leo. Physically, visibly, right next to Regulus, Leo's brightest star.

A Leo eclipse conjunct the South Node isn't about reorganizing your cupboards. It's about identity. Who you've been performing as versus who you actually are. The patterns of ego, recognition-seeking, and creative attachment that have run their course.

Eclipses don't work on normal timelines. What surfaces now has been building for months. The endings and revelations coming through over the next few weeks are showing you what needs to be released so the next chapter can begin.

And Saturn meeting Neptune for the first time since 1989 in the background? Old structures dissolving. Combine that with a South Node eclipse in Leo and you're looking at a moment asking: what version of yourself is ready to be let go of?

The Day Redford Refused to Yell — And A Broken Horse Finally Listened. There is one behind-the-scenes moment from The Horse Whisperer that cast and crew still describe as “the day the movie discovered its soul.”
It happened on a windswept Montana morning, far from Hollywood, when cameras were rolling, patience was thinning, and a traumatized horse named Pilgrim simply refused to act.
The scene was supposed to be simple: Tom Booker (Robert Redford) approaches Pilgrim, touches him gently, and earns his trust step by slow step.
But the horse cast as Pilgrim wasn’t cooperating.
He wasn’t angry.
He wasn’t wild.
He was afraid—so afraid that he trembled anytime a human came near.
A wrangler muttered, “He’s spooked bad today. We may need to reset or bring in the backup horse.”
But Redford refused. He wanted authenticity, even if it meant waiting for hours.
The entire crew grew uneasy. The wind whipped dirt against equipment, lights flickered, and every attempt to begin the scene ended the same: Pilgrim backing away, eyes wide, refusing to step forward.
Director Redford stood in silence, hands tucked into his jacket, watching the horse with a stillness that surprised everyone. Finally, he said softly:
“Let’s stop thinking like filmmakers… and start thinking like the horse.”
He asked everyone to step back.
Far back.
Then farther.
Soon the entire crew stood nearly a hundred feet away, leaving Redford alone in the field with Pilgrim.
The horse’s trainer whispered, “What’s he doing?”
Another crew member replied, “I think… he’s whispering.”
Redford didn’t speak.
He didn’t touch the horse.
He simply waited.
Minutes passed. The cameras kept rolling.
Redford crouched down in the dirt, making himself smaller than the animal. He lowered his gaze so he wouldn’t feel threatening. He breathed slowly, deeply, letting the horse sense calm. The wind quieted. The set fell into a strange, reverent silence.
Finally, Redford murmured:
“Whenever you’re ready, partner.”
For a long moment, nothing happened.
Then, in what looked like a miracle, Pilgrim took one step forward. Then another. His breathing slowed. His ears softened. And for the first time that day, he lowered his head toward Redford—trusting him.
A gasp rippled through the crew.
Redford whispered:
“That’s it. There you are.”
The cameras captured everything—the small tremor in Pilgrim’s body, the cautious acceptance, the fragile bond forming in real time. It was not acting. It was not choreography. It was a genuine moment of healing.
When the scene ended, the horse’s trainer blinked back tears.
“I’ve worked with horses for thirty years,” he said. “But I’ve never seen one answer to silence like that.”
Scarlett Johansson, only 13 years old at the time, watched in awe. She later recalled, “It didn’t feel like a scene. It felt like witnessing something sacred.”
And Redford? He simply brushed dirt from his hands and said:
“Sometimes the best direction is to shut up and listen.”
They never used the backup horse again.
Because from that day on, Pilgrim trusted him.

Sounds like Good Advice to me

“You don’t stand a chance against my prayers. You don’t stand a chance against my love.”

Last night, my husband David returned from a camping trip in Colorado. His drive home took him through four states. Before he left Colorado for his drive back home, I cautioned him,
“Honey, enjoy the journey. Enjoy the mountains of Colorado, the vastness of Wyoming, the forests of Utah, and the deserts of Nevada, but do not listen to the news. Focus on what’s beautiful.”

“Good idea! Yup, no news. Got it,” he replied.

When he stumbled in last night, he said, “Do you remember how you cautioned me to not listen to the news?”

“Yes?”

“Well, I should have listened to you! It was a great trip home . . . until I turned on the news. As I listened, I got angry and upset about everything that’s happening in our country. Even after I turned off the radio, instead of focusing on the amazing countryside I was driving through, I just felt helpless. I should have listened to you.”

I knew the feeling that he described. I long for peace and harmony in the world we live in, but sometimes, when I listen to the news, it feels like everything is spiraling out of control.

I don’t want to put blinders on to what’s happening in the world. But I also know that my angst doesn’t make things better. So I’ve come up with a strategy for myself, for those times when it seems that life is falling apart.

My strategy comes from the lines in a song called ‘The Ghost Dance’ written in the early '90s by Robbie Robertson. The song expresses resilience and the enduring power of prayer.

“You don’t stand a chance against my prayers. You don’t stand a chance against my love.”

When feelings of overwhelm, anger, or helplessness surge over me, I take a deep breath and repeat these words to myself. And everything changes. A calm fills me.

I believe in the power of prayer and I believe in the power of love, so rather than allowing my angst to fuel more angst in the world, I shift my focus to prayers and love. These are two of the most powerful forces in the Universe... and I believe that all our prayers and our love make a difference to our beautiful and needful planet.

Rinsed the last lot of pumpkin seeds after creating another batch of soup 🍲 but didn’t get around to drying.

Wasn’t quite ready for this scenario but I did say last autumn that I wanted to start them earlier 😬

Pulled & cleaned during fire element Aries moon (seeds)
Put in the soil during Ta**us moon (earth element)

Using soil of the allotment and biodegradable pots.

I’ve repeat used the same pots for 6 years now. And the plants love them. Something to do with the silica content in the rice fibre.

BTW - If any of you U.K. peeps want some pumpkin seeds I can try rescue the rest. ie dry them enough to get to you before they sprout.
