🌿 Stress Awareness Month 2026 🌿

At Invictus Wellbeing, we know that stress is something we all experience, but how we manage it can make all the difference.

This April is Stress Awareness Month and we’re encouraging everyone to take a step back and check in with themselves. Whether it’s moving your body, setting better boundaries, taking time to recharge, or simply finding moments of joy in your days!

Keep your eyes peeled as throughout the month, we’ll be sharing weekly tips and tricks from our Calderdale staff on how they manage stress within their personal and professional lives.

Remember, it’s okay to slow down. It’s okay to say no. And it’s more than okay to put your wellbeing first. There’s no one-size-fits all approach to managing stress, it’s about finding what works for you!

We were delighted to take part in the ‘Introduction: Lundy Model and Youth Participation’ training in York, delivered by Youth Focus.

The session offered valuable insight into the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), reinforcing how vital it is to ensure children and young people (CYP) understand and can access their rights, specially in an increasingly complex and uncertain world.

Exploring the Lundy Model highlighted just how powerful meaningful participation can be within the CYP sector. At Invictus Wellbeing, we are proud to embed and comply with the Lundy Model across our organisation, ensuring that co-production and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. This means CYP are actively involved in shaping decisions across our governance, operations, and service delivery because these decisions directly impact them.

A standout moment was an inspiring presentation from Bez Martin and her youth assistant Ruby, whose confidence and passion truly demonstrated what is possible when young people are empowered with a voice ⭐️

Yesterday we hosted a beautiful Eid office party over in Shipley with authentic dishes, games and a Q&A session with our colleagues teaching us all about Ramadan and Islam ☪️

Our team brought in everything from Samosas, Biryani, Jalebi and Chana Dhal and none of us will need to eat again for about a week.

Thanks to everyone who contributed and to our wonderful colleagues for arranging the get-together and hosting questions from all the team

Our colleagues Georgie and Chloe attended the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Strategy event, where partners from across the region came together to discuss ongoing work and future plans to reduce violent crime in our communities.

The event was attended by the Mayor of West Yorkshire and her Deputy, alongside representatives from local police forces and community organisations, who shared valuable insights into the strategies being developed to tackle violence and support safer communities across West Yorkshire.

At Invictus Wellbeing, we recognise how important collaboration is when it comes to preventing violence and supporting young people and families. Events like this provide a vital opportunity to learn from partners, strengthen connections, and ensure our work continues to align with wider regional efforts to promote safety, wellbeing, and positive opportunities for young people.

We really appreciate the opportunity to be part of these important conversations and to work alongside others who are committed to creating safer, healthier communities for everyone.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🌈

This week, we’re proud to support Neurodiversity Celebration Week — a global initiative that aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported. It’s an opportunity to recognise the unique strengths, skills and talents of neurodivergent people, while continuing to build more inclusive, understanding and empowering environments for everyone.

At Invictus Wellbeing, we are committed to working alongside our communities to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. We believe that every individual should feel seen, valued and supported, and that embracing neurodiversity is key to creating spaces where people can truly thrive.

By raising awareness and encouraging open conversations, we can help break down barriers, challenge stigma, and ensure that our services and wider communities are accessible, inclusive and supportive for all.

Together, we can celebrate differences and create a world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. 💙

We are incredibly thankful to Pearl Dental for their truly generous donation of £12,000 to Invictus Wellbeing.

Their kindness and support will go directly towards our COPE Project in Bradford, which provides therapeutic peer bereavement support for young people who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Because of this wonderful contribution, we are able to continue creating safe and supportive spaces where young people can talk openly, understand their grief, and learn healthy ways to cope with bereavement.

Support like this makes a real and lasting difference to the young people and families we work with, and we are deeply grateful to Pearl Dental for believing in and supporting our mission.

Thank you for helping us continue this important work within our community. 💙

We wanted to extend a special thank you to our incredible supporters from Our Monte Casino Ball Night! ✨

Following the amazing success of last week’s doo at Casa, we want to take a moment to say a truly heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously donated prizes to our raffle and auction.

Your kindness and support played such an important role in the evening. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise an incredible amount, helping us continue our life-changing work.
