Help shape the future of Invictus Wellbeing 💬

In April, we will be launching our next 5 year strategy and we want to hear directly from the people who matter most: young people and their families.

Your voice is essential in helping us understand what is working, what needs to improve, and what support young people need over the next five years. This is your opportunity to influence how our charity approaches the next 5 years.

Whether you have accessed our services, attended a group, have a child who has been involved with Invictus or simply have ideas to share, your experiences and views will help shape the future of our organisation.

Your feedback will directly inform our priorities, services, and future direction.

Last week, Chloe and Laura met with Sharon and Sam from Verd de gris arts, a fantastic local organisation that works with women and girls to build resilience, promote community and encourage expression through creativity.

They met to explore how our organisations can come together to support young women and girls. We’re delighted to share that we are working on a collaborative project; '7 Ages of Women'. This work centres around identity, voice, resilience and connection. Sharon and Sam also gifted Invictus Wellbeing a collection of zines from their project 'Not Hiding, But Waiting'. These zines were created by local women and capture their voices and lived experiences through storytelling, poetry and photography. We are very excited to move forwards with Verd De Gris Arts to continue providing much needed support to local young women and girls.

Celebrating our campaign 2026!

This Children’s Mental Health Week, we’ve been proud to run our annual campaign. Raising awareness and vital funds to support children and young people across West Yorkshire.

We’re thrilled that over 25 schools across the region have taken part, turning their schools blue and getting involved to champion young people’s mental health. Our team has also had the privilege of visiting the schools and speaking in assemblies, meeting inspiring young people and helping to spark important conversations about children's Mental Health and wellbeing.

We are so incredibly thankful to all the schools, children, parents and organisations who have supported and taken part in . Your enthusiasm, generosity and commitment are helping us make a real difference to young lives across our communities.

We are proud to Blue Some Good. 💙

💙 It’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 💙

Our children’s mental health is just as important as their physical health. Every child deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported.

By encouraging open conversations, teaching healthy coping skills, and reminding young people that it’s okay not to be okay, we help build resilience and confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Mental health tips for young people:
• Talk about your feelings to people you trust
• Do activities and hobbies you enjoy
• Move your body and get fresh air
• Eat well and rest well
• Learn to say no and set boundaries
• Remember your feelings are valid

Let’s continue to create safe spaces where children feel proud of who they are and know their feelings matter. 🌟

🧸 Play Therapy at Invictus Wellbeing 🧸

As part of Invictus Wellbeing’s Youth in Mind project, Play Therapy provides children and young people with a safe, welcoming space where they can express themselves freely.

Many children struggle to talk about big feelings, worries, or difficult experiences. Play Therapy is so important because it allows them to communicate through play, using toys, art, games, and creative resources that feel familiar and comforting.

Imagine a calm therapy room filled with carefully chosen play resources, all designed to help children explore emotions, build trust, and feel safe. These resources become part of the child’s journey, helping them make sense of their world at their own pace.

Through Play Therapy, children can:
✨ Feel heard and understood (not just with words)
✨ Build emotional resilience
✨ Develop healthy coping strategies
✨ Process anxiety, trauma, or change in a supportive environment

If you’d like to learn more about Youth in Mind or how Play Therapy can support emotional wellbeing, please get in touch 💙

💙 Looking ahead to 2026… 💙

As we prepare for what will be our biggest year yet, we’re reaching out to organisations who may be considering their charity partner for 2026.

This year, we’re on track to support more young people than ever before, working with children and young people aged 5–25 across West Yorkshire to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing. This simply wouldn’t be possible without the vital support of our previous partners and donors, whose generosity has helped us reach and support so many young people already.

To continue and reach more young people, we rely on the support of caring partners like you. By choosing us as your charity partner, you’ll be helping to create meaningful, lasting impact for young people across our region!

If you’d like to explore partnering with us in 2026, we’d love to start the conversation and answer any questions. 💬💙
