It's great to see what Freshfields are doing! What a lovely day out, a safari trip, looks like 6 individuals had a great time seeing the lions from their minibus. If you have any Good News Stories going on...make sure to email Madison.Dickinson@Valorumcaregroup or let us know on the MyValorum app

"Six residents were taken on their first trip out since lock down restrictions came into play (Simon, Janet, Rob, Tina, Derek, Carol). Bryan, our amazing maintenance manager, drove the bus for us and myself and activity assistant Jackie accompanied the residents. The weather was gorgeous so most of the animals were out and about for us to see. We got very close to pride of Lions who were relaxing in the sunshine. We were lucky enough to pass the Monkeys during feeding time so there was lots of laughter from the residents watching the monkeys eat and play. There were also lots of baby monkeys being carried on their mums backs which was a joy to see. Part way round we parked up and enjoyed some snacks and a drink before finishing our journey. Although we were unable to leave the minibus it was a fun afternoon out and we went on a short drive through our local village, Formby, on our way home and stopped at the fish and chip shop to get some dinner before returning to the home. A great afternoon out!!!" - Lorraine, our Activity Coordinator, shared this story, how fun does this look?! I hope everyone had a lovely day 😁
