✨ A Dream Come True — Twice ✨

We are beyond thrilled to share this beautiful feedback from Rebecca and Peter, who recently welcomed their second miracle following IVF treatment with us 💕

After the birth of their first daughter, Charlotte (Lottie), Rebecca and Peter returned for a second cycle — and we’re so happy to say it was another success. Little Poppy Elizabeth arrived on Wednesday 28th January 2026, at 37 weeks, weighing 5lb 7oz, joining her proud big sister 💖

This month marks 25 years for me at Yorkshire Fertility — that’s almost half my life! It’s a real privilege to work alongside such an incredible who are dedicated to providing the very best care for our patients every single day. 💙

Today, we’re introducing Danielle Gleadall, our S***m Donation Co-ordinator — alongside her day-to-day role as a Specialist Fertility Nurse.

🌸 Fertility Awareness Week – Diet and Weight Loss 🌸

If you’re planning a pregnancy or starting fertility treatment, looking after your health can make a real difference.

Being overweight can reduce fertility treatment success rates, and losing weight can help lower pregnancy risks for both mother and baby.

💊 NICE guidelines recommend that anyone with a BMI over 30 takes 5 mg of folic acid before conception and during the first trimester. Your GP can arrange this for you.

When it comes to weight loss, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach — what works for one person may not work for another. Some ideas that our patients have found helpful include:
🏋️‍♀️ Regular gym attendance
🤝 Support groups like Weight Watchers or Slimming World
🥗 Advice from a private dietitian, nutritionist, or personal trainer

🌿 Fertility Awareness Week 🌿

This week, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the emotional and mental impact that fertility challenges can have.

A fertility journey can often feel like a rollercoaster of emotions — from excitement and hope to fear and anxiety, and everything in between. All of these feelings are completely normal.

It’s important to give yourself the time and space to process your emotions and remember that it’s OK to feel them.
If you’re going through treatment as a couple, you may find that your experiences and emotions differ — and that’s normal too. You’re in this together, but you’re also two individuals with your own unique feelings. 💚
