It’s a completely free space where I’ll be sharing evidence-based health & wellness information, plus links to my latest articles — all in one easy place on WhatsApp.

The content is mainly aimed at women 35+, but many of the topics around strength, energy, recovery and long-term health are just as relevant for men too.

❗️It is important for members of the public to be fully informed about the qualifications of a Sports Therapist. They must be secure in the knowledge that the person treating them has undergone relevant training, has the necessary skills and knowledge to apply any appropriate treatment or give advice and is regulated by an organisation that has the protection of the public at the core of its values.

➡️ Members of The Society of Sports Therapists:

• Have reached a minimum benchmark level of knowledge and are eligible for membership status
•Are eligible for Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
• Are required to undertake an annual programme of mandatory Continued Professional Development (CPD) in order to maintain their right for re-registration
• Hold a current and valid first aid qualification as a mandatory pre-requisite for membership
• Are governed by standards of conduct and disciplinary procedures that are transparent and serve to protect not only the member but also the public with whom they come in contact
• Are a member of an organisation that strives to increase the levels of care provided for sports and recreational participants, regardless of age, level and ability

I’m working with a number of people at the moment that have had life changing injuries who remain determined to keep pushing forward with their rehab to be in the best physical & mental health.

I love working with all my clients, but these individuals bring me so much joy & inspiration every session.

My journey into this profession started because I was helping my husband, Mark, recover from a broken & dislocated neck.

I’ve since qualified with a high level First Class Honours Degree in Sport Therapy & Rehabilitation which I am proud to shout about. I worked very hard for it & wanted to do well to be able to help as many people as I can.

When reviews like this come through, it means so much to me on a personal & professional level, because it’s proof that I’m doing what I set out to achieve with my business & the hard work was worth it.

❗️I urge everyone to watch this tonight❗️

Can you overcome a chronic condition without medication? Dr Rangan Chatterjee investigates the UK’s dependency on medication and explores how lifestyle changes can help to promote wellbeing.

I’m a huge advocate for addressing lifestyle, mental health, historic trauma to name but a few elements before relying on medication to support physical symptoms.

Now that’s not to say it works for everyone and all conditions, there is a place for medications, I acknowledge that. However, many of us are not living the best through a disconnection with our bodies needs, over stimulated, stressed, and a reliance on pills to fix things.

In tonight’s episode Dr Chatterjee talks to SIRPA practitioners. SIRPA provides specialist approach to chronic pain symptoms. It’s something that fascinates me from a professional perspective, but that I have also experienced on a personal level following a period of time with chronic back pain.

This year they are running a masterclass with Dr Howard Schubiner MD of Mind Body Medicine who explores the brain and its role in a wide variety of medical issues, including chronic pain and how to unlearn pain in a 28-day process.

I hope to be able to help clients more with their pain free journey following this masterclass in April. You can also listen to more from Dr Schubiner on Dr Chatterjees podcast - Feel Better, Live More #519.

This is something I do very rarely, as I keep my client numbers intentionally low to ensure every person receives the highest level of personalised care, attention, and support.

• A private, supportive studio environment
• A long-term approach to health, resilience, and performance

Proud to sponsor the inspirational Jo Phillips with the Silverback Trek Team on her latest fundraising event. Santa Dash trekking Whernside which might not seem much to some, but I know first hand from taking part in a previous event with Jo how challenging this can be for her.

Jo works tirelessly, using her own experience to support others around her & many charities over the years. She is a former Rugby League player and coach for Wakefield Trinity Women. Her playing career ended after suffering a stroke during a Rugby League Cup Final.

Jo was recently diagnosed with CTE and early onset dementia, which has further added to her passion for promoting mental wellbeing.

After suffering with mental health issues, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, Jo is now an advocate for mental health, primarily focusing on females in sport via State of Mind Sport, and overall a wonderful human!

Our Story

S.E.A.L Fitness was founded in 2014 by Emma Seal, after her husband had an accident that changed their family & her life. Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire for group classes & personal training, clients receive a professional & friendly service. Coaching her husband; Mark, through rehabilitation of a broken & dislocated neck, Emma realised that helping people with health & fitness was a passion which she needed to make her career. Originally spending 15 years in various roles of the construction & engineering industries, the switch to Health & Wellness was a dramatic change, but one which finally made perfect sense to her. It was the mental wellbeing; despite the circumstances, that helping someone else progress to full fitness which gave her the pushed to re-train. Find out more about Emma & Mark's story here Emma truly believes that it is possible for every individual, regardless of ability or age, to live healthy lives with regular activity & having a balanced lifestyle, without the need for pills, potions or fad diets. She is a lover of food & encourages individuals to understand what food types do to the body & how they can influence our physical & mental health.

After many years of training clients it has become evident to her that for them to be in the best health it isn’t all about physical fitness. In order to have wellness we must have balance & form positive habits that lead to a well-rounded happy, healthy life.

With the importance of balance in mind Emma has created an online Wellness Training Course for all clients or those who are unable to attend group classes or personal training. This will be launching in early 2020 where she will take you step-by-step through the six key areas of wellness & how to create balance in each of them: Physical. Emotional. Social. Intellectual.
