Eve’s Pilates 4 everyone

Eve’s Pilates 4 everyone I believe Pilates is 4 everyone & anyone should be able to gain the benefits With/without floor work. Those reasons may be as simple as preference.

Welcome to my page; Eve’s Pilates4 Everyone is aimed at clients who may not necessarily have the confidence to go into a mainstream Pilates classes. You do not feel confident in a typical Gym setting. It may be that due to injury or illness, you do not feel confident or capable to get down on the floor in front of strangers and you would feel happier doing beneficial exercises in a standing or seating position. I am a highly qualified instructor who started out as a GP Referral Prescription Exercise Instructor delivering exercises to Cardiac patients and also members of the public with certain medical conditions, such as High Blood Pressure, Stroke, MS, ME, Diabetes and most other medical conditions. I have delivered these types of group exercises since 2005. I do however WEF 2021 deliver one floor Pilates class as I found I needed to challenge some of my clients who were progressing physically beyond what I could deliver for them in my chair classes. See my timetable at the top of my page for further details.

Your legs start shaking during Pilates and you think you’re doing it wrong?

Actually… that shake has a name: the Pilates shake.

It usually happens during slow, controlled movements when your muscles are working hard to stabilize your body.

As some muscle fibers start to fatigue, your nervous system quickly recruits more to keep you balanced. That rapid switching between muscle fibers creates the shaking you feel.

In Pilates this often means your deep stabilizing muscles are turning on
transverse abdominis
pelvic floor
spinal stabilizers

So when the Pilates shake shows up during footwork, planks, or leg work, it’s usually not a bad sign.

It means your body is working, adapting, and building real strength.

Over time your nervous system becomes more efficient, your coordination improves, and the shake gradually disappears.

So next time your legs start shaking in class
don’t panic.

That’s the Pilates shake
and it usually means you’re getting stronger. Starting slow and always having a chair there, helps to challenge your body knowing you have the safety of an aid should you need one. The improvement I have seen in balance always makes me smile 🙌🏻

I’m still in shock and deeply saddened by the loss. We will miss you Paul. Tuesday classes will not be the same without you. Love and condolences to Paul’s friends and family 🙏🏻

It’s with great sadness we bring you the news that Paul Mattin died very suddenly on the 19th January.

Paul originally attended our weekly Pilates class where he very kindly gave Keith Rhodes a lift to class and helped by pushing him in his wheelchair into the church hall. He then went on to do the same for Breakfast Club and Pellon.

After Keith moved away he continued coming to Pilates and our social events. He was always one of the first to put his name down when we needed volunteers for our bucket collections and last year he took up the challenge of walking 10 miles in 5 days raising money for our group and Pennine Multiple Sclerosis & Neurological Group.

He will be sorely missed by many especially his family and of course, Allison, whom he met at our Pilates class.

If you would like to pay you respects his funeral will be at 9am on Tuesday 3rd February at Huddersfield Crematorium, Fixby Road, Huddersfield, HD2 2JF.
