Yes, it’s hard to exercise with kids around.

You get interrupted, can’t fully focus and half the time someone’s climbing on you or asking for a snack.

But if I’m being honest… waiting for that perfect window is what keeps so many mums stuck.

Because it rarely happens.

And what I’ve noticed, both in myself and the mums I work with, is that when we stop moving completely, it doesn’t just affect our fitness.

It affects our patience, our energy and our confidence.

That underlying frustration of having nothing that’s just for you builds up over time.

Workouts don’t need to be perfect. They can be short and messy and still count.

So many mums feel like this but don’t say it out loud.

Honestly, most bodies feel different after kids. And I'm not even talking about how it looks but actually how it feels.

Maybe it feels weaker. Or unfamiliar. Or like it doesn’t fully belong to you like it did before.

And it can make exercise feel loaded with the pressure that you have to "fix” something.

But movement doesn’t have to be about shrinking your body.

It can be about reconnecting with it.
Learning to trust it again.
Feeling capable and strong in it.

You don’t need to rush that process. Rebuilding that relationship takes time and that’s okay 🤍

“I’m just too tired to exercise.”

I hear this a lot and to be honest I can relate to.

When you’re running on broken sleep and busy days,
sitting with your feet up on the couch whenever you get a second to breathe feels like the only answer.

But here’s the truth:

The right kind of movement can create energy,
not drain it.

Not intense workouts. Not punishing yourself by making you burn 'x' amount of calories.

But instead, efficient, supportive movement that helps your body and nervous system.

Often, energy follows action, not the other way around.
