Solo run today became a mindful run after realising I'd forgotten my earphones

Listening πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
Right leg sounded different to left when it hit the ground
Usually and I are too busy chatting to hear feet hitting gravel 😁

Feeling πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
Right leg felt different from pull through to push off

Conclusion ...

Distractions can sometimes be great to help us get through some tough physical and mental challenges
BUT
There is value too in focusing on the here and now.
Checking if, what and where work is needed to correct any imbalances.

As a runner I'm not a massive fan of intervals/surges whatever you want to call them.
I'm not a naturally fast runner so these are my 🐸.

Usually end up doing them on the same day of the week so I started calling it
My youngest challenged me the other day and said "why not call it , because you feel good for having done them?"

Why not indeed??

Start your activity - no matter what it is, no matter how big or small, with a positive step

Highly likely that some (or all) sessions are going to need you to dig deep into the motivation pool 🐸

BUT 99.9% of the time they've just gotta get done to achieve the long term goal!

My goal = run a marathon πŸ†
My frog = interval training 🐸
My last run = intervals in the wind πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅
