I am currently on GCSE revision duty so I am using the time to let you know a few Reflexology things, that if the algorithm tells me anything....no one will look at or read πŸ˜‚ so I may or may not test you all later! If however, you are interested then you may like the below!

Our spine is the backbone of our health, our central support structure and has a profound effect on both our physical comfort and emotional well-being. Our spines health influences a wide range of systems in our body. It houses the spinal cord which is responsible for transmitting messages from the brain to the body, our mobility and flexibility, our energy flow and our postural support!

Therefore when it’s in balance, we feel more at ease, both in body and mind.

In reflexology the spine is located along the inner (medial) edge of each foot – from the side of the big toe (cervival spine/neck) down to the heel (sarum and coccyx area).

If this is of any interest to you here is the link to a study which was done on the effects of reflexology on chronic low back pain intensity in nurses employed in hospitals affiliated with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23833620/

FINDINGS: The results showed a significantly higher reduction in pain intensity scores in the reflexology group after the intervention as compared with the non-specific massage group.
CONCLUSIONS: Reflexology can be effective in reducing the severity of chronic back pain, i.e. it is able to reduce pain from moderate to mild. Thus, this technique is recommended to be performed by nurses as a complementary therapy in patient care.

A reminder of what Reflexology is all about!

It is an ancient Egyptian healing art from the original temple sciences and the ancient Egyptian mystery system of thousands of years ago. The principle is that the two feet as a whole represent an exact mirror or microcosm of the entire body.

It is a deeply relaxing and restorative holistic experience which uses finger pressure applied to reflex areas on the feet. The reflex points and nerve endings in our feet then activate our bodies nuclear cells, organs and body systems which then promotes self-healing and ultimately maintains optimum health. This all encourages our body to achieve balance which is also known as homeostasis.

Fact: Did you know that Touch is the first sense to develop in utero and is considered the sensory scaffold that helps the fetus to develop a sense of self and their body.

The same goes for Reflexology! You will never if it's for you unless you try it! Message me to book in.

Are you looking for something to support you going into 2026? A new or additional approach to your well being? I provide a safe, supportive place to let yourself rebalance, rest, reset and rediscover what balance and mind/body connection can feel like through Reflexology.

People are quite often surprised by how much Reflexology can bring up and by quite how much it can help. Things can get buried, emotionally and physically, some are within our control and some we don't even know have shaped us into who we are now and some of these are unfinished stress cycles.

When we don't complete these cycles-due to unresolved stress, societal expectations, or lack of time-our nervous system can stay in a dysregulated state, leading to feelings of overwhelm, fatigue, or tension.

Reflexology can provide relief from these stresses and allow the body and mind to find some equilibrium. Come to it with an open mind and see how you feel.
