Why Come to a Drop‑In Social Wellbeing Session?
A drop‑in social wellbeing session is a friendly, informal space to connect with others, take a break from everyday pressures, and feel supported — without any expectations or pressure.
🤍 Feel Less Alone
Spending time with others who understand can make a huge difference. Our sessions help reduce loneliness and isolation by offering simple human connection in a safe, welcoming environment.
☕ No Pressure, Just Turn Up
There’s no referral, no booking, and no requirement to talk about how you’re feeling. You can join in as much or as little as you want — whether that’s chatting, listening, or just sitting quietly.
🌱 Support for Your Wellbeing
Being around others, sharing a laugh, doing light activities, or enjoying a hot drink can positively affect mood and mental wellbeing. Sometimes it’s the small things that help the most.
🛡️ A Safe, Non‑Judgemental Space
Everyone is welcome. You don’t need a diagnosis or a reason to attend. We offer a respectful, stigma‑free space where you can be yourself.
🔄 Helpful at Any Stage
Whether you’re feeling low, anxious, stressed, or just in need of company, drop‑in sessions can support you — including while you’re waiting for other services or ongoing support.
❤️ You Are Welcome Here
You don’t need to explain yourself.
You don’t need to be “at crisis point.”
If you’d benefit from company and kindness, this space is for you 💜🦋

18/01/2026

Our groups are here for you. ⛈️

Every Monday 7-9pm (excluding bank holidays) for any man 18+.

The groups are completely FREE and there’s no registration needed. Just turn up!

Why Join a Session at Butterfly Effect Wellbeing?
Butterfly Effect Wellbeing offers a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space for anyone experiencing mental ill health, emotional distress, or suicidal thoughts. Our sessions are designed to meet people where they are, without pressure, diagnosis, or barriers to access.
💚 You Are Not Alone
Many people who attend our sessions feel isolated, overwhelmed, or unheard. At Butterfly Effect Wellbeing, you will be welcomed by people who genuinely understand what it’s like to struggle. Peer support means you are surrounded by others with lived experience, helping to reduce loneliness and stigma.
🛡️ A Safe, Non-Judgemental Environment
We offer a calm and respectful space where you can talk openly — or simply sit quietly — without fear of judgement. There is no expectation to share if you don’t feel ready. You are always in control of your experience.
🚪 No Referrals, No Long Waiting Lists
Accessing mental health support can often be difficult and slow. Our sessions are drop-in, with no referral needed. This makes Butterfly Effect Wellbeing especially valuable for those waiting for NHS support or who feel traditional services don’t meet their needs.
🧠 Support Through Crisis and Beyond
Whether you’re in immediate emotional crisis or just trying to get through day-to-day life, our trained leads, facilitators, and volunteers are there to listen and support you. Many people attend during very dark moments — and continue coming as part of their ongoing recovery journey.
🌱 A Step Toward Hope and Recovery
For many, attending a session is the first step toward survival, stability, and hope. Since opening, Butterfly Effect Wellbeing has supported and helped save the lives of people experiencing suicidal ideation, offering care when it was needed most.
❤️ You Matter Here
You don’t need a label. You don’t need to be “ill enough.” You don’t need to explain yourself.
If you’re struggling, you belong here 🦋💜

We recognise that January can be a particularly difficult time for those experiencing depression and anxiety. After the pace and expectations of the holiday season, the quieter nature of this month often allows loss to feel more present and more personal.

Depression and anxiety does not follow a timetable, and it is common for emotions to intensify during periods of stillness. We encourage individuals to approach this time with patience and self-compassion. Simple practices such as maintaining daily routines, allowing space for rest, and acknowledging feelings without judgement can be supportive.

Take one day at a time, allowing yourself to move through each moment at your own pace.
Please come to a social wellbeing session if you are struggling. You do not need to go through this alone 💜🦋
